So true, as a huge Dead Space fan since the original Dead Space I appreciate both of the Levoire levels! The hives are so nostalgia inducing. The sawblades turning you into grinded meat aswell haha. And then that OST… It’s so powerful!

I'd noticed how amazing this game's soundtrack was since Eidos 7, but it was at this boss that I *really* started to pay attention to the music. One of the best soundtracks I've heard!

Those two Maelstrom bosses have no right to have such a track. But after playing on hard mode, I think it’s deserved. They get way tankier and their projectiles can actually harm you this time. Even though, they are quite easy to dodge. Just a heads up, you will constantly run out of ammo and have to wait for it to spit out minions.

Hard mode saw me utilizing missiles way more than slugs on Repulses and this bosses weakspot. Those missiles do the highest burst dmg for those stuns than anything else I think

@@lustandluster Yes definitely what I went for for the second Maelstrom. Shot the glowing yellow zysts with slugs then used explosive shells for the damage or stingers (huge damage).

@@lustandluster Although I am not a fan of cheesing bossfights with stunlocks outside of the Levoire facilities. Feels cheap even though it is essentially a great strategy to defeat them. Used a explosive shell on the second last boss a couple times to avoid some attacks.

@@ChaoTix.SYeah, like in NG+ all the drone options actually matter. Like missiles are great for repulsing, and explosive rounds I like to shoot the enemy when they’re down and follow up with a chasing slice. Those bosses I started being more aggressive, I still like the “how’s your parry skill?” test but they become frustratingly tanky

All bosses are really hard in hard mode, no comparaison with normal mode lol I'm playing in hard on my first run and i tried normal on one boss i was struggling with, i got it in first try with no efforts

I say the game is actually mixed very well this fight just has lots of explosions so I can see how someone especially with no headphones wouldn't hear this

Well you can only use the drone for the fight so it is kinda challenging
