Ms. Okabe has such wonderful basic skills (except that she traveled to a different ZIP code w/ that sit change sit)! She is beautifully aware of every line she creates, she has such soft knees, and she knows how to give a “snap” to her performance. In fact, her skating reminds me very much of Emi Watanabe’s-and Emi, as we know, was among the very best free skaters of all times. It is a pity Ms. Okabe never really made it big with such great potential. [On a side note, I wonder if they even knew they were skating to a symphonic version of a major patriotic/military song...from North Korea!!! I recognize the music because every other skater/gymnast from North Korea used to perform to this music at some point in his/her career back then.]

Never know that Japan started pair skating in such early time! But why there is almost no pair skating in Japan these days?
