The width across the faces of a 10mm socket is approximately 10.1mm to 10.2mm. If it is more than 10.3mm wider, the socket may be open. Sockets that have been used for a long time or with an impact wrench may be open. Sockets with a large amount of play are very prone to stripping and are likely to damage the bolt. We recommend using a 10mm socket with a width across the faces of approximately 10.1mm to 10.2mm for M6 bolts. Please use this as reference.
