G Road Test Barrie PASSED! (October 2020)

I took this video during the actual road test and you will hear the examiner`s commands. During the test in some area I drove too slow and examiner told me to speed up. This way you can predict where to go faster. I hope this video helps people who are preparing to take the G road test in Barrie, ON. Good luck!

Passed my G test yesterday. Just a heads up for people, there's a different route that they might take you on. You turn left out of the DriveTest parking lot, right onto Mapleview, and then make 2 left lane changes and get onto the Hwy400 North. Lane change left/right. Exit on Essa. They'll take you up some streets around Ardagh to do a parallel park, two 3-point turns, emergency roadside stop. Then back on Hwy400 South to Mapleview with another left/right lane change on the way. Back to the DriveTest Centre. Did a front right park there.

@@alyssa.k7801 100Km/hr. You need to make sure you get as close to 100 as possible when merging onto the highway. Sometimes traffic doesn't allow it, but do what you can. Don't be afraid to floor it to get up to speed, but make sure you don't go over 105 when actually on the highway

Congratulations and Thank-you for this video! I have two questions for you: -when the examiner said pull over and stop, did you. Just put the hazard on? Then when she said emergency road side stop, you pulled the handbrake and put gear into 'park'. Am I right? -did you not change the lane the second time the examiner asked you to change lanes because you were very close to the pedestrian crosswalk?

Yes, for the 1st question, I did what you exactly think. And for your 2nd question, it wasn’t about pedestrian crosswalk. Do lane changes when you feel safe. Thanks!

New G exam route: they take you to 400 south from drive test and then exited at Innisfil Beach Rd, turned back to 400 north and exited at mapleview drive W. Took a right turn at bryne drive after that and (takes you around the block) then left turn on caplan ave and then again left tun on veterans drive. When you come to mapleview again you have to take a left turn and the back to the drivetest center. The examiner was nice and friendly and the route was easy. Hope this helps.

Took my G test today. The comment about the new exam route was indeed correct, in case anyone needed an update: - left exiting drive test plaza - Right maple view - 400 south - Exit innisfil beach and make left - 400 North - Exit left maple view towards drive centre - Right Bryne st - Left on Caplan - Left on veterans - left maple view - right bryne st - right into drive test plaza and park how they tell you to I passed. But wanted to post incase anyone needed to relax a little. I practiced the route one time before my actual test. Be sure to sign into kiosk 30 min before and exaggerate the looking into all mirrors and blind spots.

Just to share my experience: my test was exactly the same as shared here. Passed, thankfully! However, I must share here that the examiner asked me to change the lane to left and never mentioned changing back to right. Since left lane is always the passing lane I asked the examiner if I should go back to the right lane and she said 'you should do what the traffic rules say'. So I did shift back in the right most lane.

I`m not sure if they are part of G test but she didn't ask me to do any of them. Just reverse parking when we got back to Drivetest centre.

@@jdn_4163 unfortunately I wasn’t able to give the test as Toronto went into lockdown. As far as I believe they allow you to go between 80kmph to 100kmph on the highway.

The street where he did the 3 point turn was the exact spot I did it. Except I parallel parked first then 3 point turned further down the road. It was really straight forward

Do you have to wait to turn right when there's no cars coming in all of the lanes, or only into the lane you wish to turn into?

you have to make a proper stop at turning points (right) even tough there isn`t any car coming. And proceed when it`s safe. Always wait for pedestrians if there is someone about to get to pedestrian walkway.

Whether it's a left or right turn, you do not stop the vehicle during or before the turn, UNLESS you are at a red light or stop sign. You can see whether or not there are any pedestrians a few seconds before the turn, and stop if you need to. Otherwise, never come to a complete stop before a turn where you have the right of way. Doing so during a left turn is grounds for immediate failure. Doing so during a right turn is often just a warning.

@@eslemtopcuoglu3665 UPDATE: I PASSED, although during Covid my examiner made me wear a mask + his Window rolled down on highway. I also wear glasses. So my vision was a ALOT foggy while driving. He took the same route as shown here. Made me do 3 point-turn, emergency stop, reverse parking and finally front-in parking. NO parallel :).

Hey! On the light on 2:45 are you allowed to go right when it's red here? I know it's not specified on the road but I was confused since there was on coming traffic from the left but no one was going directly to the highway.

I did this turn on my test. I made a right on a red because the traffic coming off the highway is not allowed to go straight. There’s signs on the traffic poles facing them.
