I think for those who are not familiar with Opera you should do and analysis. Start with the storyline, technical aspects of operatic singing, and body support you use to sing loud enough to not need a mic. In another video, you should invite a female opera singer to do the same thing. Why? We need more education in classical singing. Knowledge leads to appreciation of an art form that intimidates the average Joe. It's an idea 💡

I’d love that. ETA, actually, what I’d REALLY love is a live session where Peter could do an analysis and chat with us. I’d love to know what made him decide on opera, what his roles so far (with video if he has), etc.
@thebe1azi5002 жыл бұрын
I would watch that so many times! I’ve always been interested but such analysis is super rare. I watched some Joyce Didonato opera masterclasses and loved the knowledge I gained from them. But you can never have enough of a master talking about the technicalities of their chosen craft!

Yes! This! Ooooh, and may I suggest a female singer? How 'bout Elizabeth Zharkoff or Maggie Renee, who also do reaction/analysis?

Sounds great! One thing I noticed though was your tongue arch during the flip to the higher notes (Db Eb). It creates this flatter sound, and removes a lot of "ring." I know this is from 6 months ago, so you might've fixed it already. Hope to see more opera stuff on your channel (that's all I really care for)!

This is so amazing. I agree with others in that u need to do some analysis of your opera pieces. There's so much feeling, I don't know the words obviously but watching ur motions while singing u can tell there's such emotion in the song and that final piece 😯 Its great to hear what u do for a living in addition to ur reaction analysis. U have such great talent all around.

Were you referring to Peter's operatic work, or does he do something else in addition to that as well??? I am curious about whether or not he is a full time musician.
@artchic19842 жыл бұрын
@@SandraJB321 He is a full time musician,he sings opera professionally. But he does do covers alone and with The Bass Gang as well. I meant I would love to see him to a reaction analysis video of his opera work so that we can learn from those as well as the other music he does reaction and analysis for.

Terrific job! I'm having flashbacks (in a good way) to the days when my own mom was earning her Masters degree in vocal performance, and all of the performances, duets, operas, etc she did with classically trained bass singers. Beautiful voice, Peter. I know how much work it takes to do what you do, and appreciate you sharing the results with the rest of us. Keep up the great work!

Sei bravissimo. E poi ho fatto tanta logoterapia e fisioterapia e ho ripreso a cantare. Faccio delle parti soliste nel mio Coro

Beautiful ❤. I don't know that specific opera... But my father, who was a melomaniac, would probably have sung along 🙄. I Like your voice a lot. If I can, I'd dare to say that the posture and body language need a bit more work. They still look a bit "stiff", if I can say so. But it may be tied to the Opera singing: my father used to tell me lots of anecdotes about the gestures that belonged to this or that opera, this or that scenes, as if they were immutable. And he used to praise opera singers that were able to sing while "acting with their whole body". I dunno, it's just an impression, and I may be totally wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. 😁 Thank you for sharing. Loved it. I'll check for more opera video on your channel. 🙂

I agree -- to me this is a particularly challenging scene to act out as a solo bit. Also on pre-screenings, sometimes you want to avoid doing "too much," so to speak. But yes my acting is a bit stale here haha no doubt

I think you are great, talented, smart, vocally gifted. But please break the current trend of not accenting correct syllables, and accenting wrong ones (like finals, as in your first low ish note.(c?). DO lean on appoggiature! (then relax) Why is the middle cadenza in tempo? Nice to hear this often-overlooked aria.
