G-Shock dw5735 “round square”

received this same model as a gift last year. my first g shock, and absolutely fell in love with it. my collection is gonna continue with only automatic watches, but this gshock is gonna stay my favourite watch of all time regardless

Funny you released this video... I've been wearing this watch for the past two weeks straight after wearing my GMW-B5000 and GW-B5600BC . It's a great watch. I love the very gold screen. It's low-key luxurious with the metal case and gold screwback

I'm in the minority that really likes the round "squares". I know many dismiss them. I have one of the round solar G-Lides and love it.

Thanks for a great review. This watch has probably gone under the radar, future classic collector's item. I have read that the bezel for the DW5600E fits it, if you want to vary with a square. Anyone else here know more about it?

I'm eventually going to have to get one of the Round models. Maybe not this one, since I have the square version already. But this has me thinking that maybe I should've gotten the Christmas one. Hopefully Casio comes out with a cool special color soon.

One thing I would add is that this watch can also use the square bezel since they share the same metal core.

Yes. There is a video on KZbin that shows this being done. They simply removed the module from the 5600 and put it into the 5700. It’s the exact same module.

I love my gwx5700..yes it is basically round square too..it is different and l love it.

I still like mine. I picked it up on on eBay for $90 shipped a few years ago. Apparently these 5700 series are just not as popular as the Squares. And that is why I got such a great deal on it.. I just wished that I picked up a DW-5035D back then. Cheapest new one (on Ebay) right now is about $450.. Yikes!

Watching your videos has contributed to my already purchasing 40+ Casio watches. This is a nice looking watch, but even though I checked the pricing on eBay and Amazon, I am going to show a tiny bit of self control and not buy this one. I already have a GLS-5600CL-1, GW-S5600-1JF and GW-B5600BC-1ER, so I am feeling somewhat set for awhile.

I was never a fan of the DW-5700. Then I bought a DW-5735 because of how crazy cheap they were going for. And you know what? After wearing it for a few weeks, the looks don't bother me any more. Would I say rather have a DW-5035 instead? Sure. But, I'm really warming up to this watch and it's awesome gold display and gold accents..

You could just buy a square bezel and install it on the watch. Anything that fits the 5600 series will work.

Not only the bands, but you can use the bezels as well. Just make sure to pay attention to the online charts you can find about the 5600 family vs the 5610s, as they're different.
