I think they should offer the cordura band on many more of their offerings. I am tempted to by that GA-2100, but I have few more Casio g-shocks on my shopping list over the next year or so.

I like that black series 2100 with the positive display. I prefer resin, but I'm interested in the cordura. The cotton band is a no go. You could pull the module out of the tan one and put it in the black case. I think that color combo would look cool. It would have a "tropical" dial look to it.

Great review. When you talked about how the wristbands dried up after a shower helped me make my mind up about which one to get. Really can't get this information elsewhere. Liked and subbed

Hi mate. I think the washing machine is a mistake with respect. I believe the detergent can damage the o ring seals.

I would like to wear the black one with the cordura band, but you have to search for a replacement strap for the other one if you like it. Keep both of them, one for the brain and one for the heart. 👍👍👍👍

Try the cordura. It’s not so comfy but it doesn’t get all soggy.

I really don't know about your GA2100 (I don't have one since I don't like it at all), but I know that your GAB is very probably made in China. No offense, but in my opinion Casio made in China isn't at the level of G-shock standards definitely, judged by my feeling. My GAB Banana made in China can not be compared with my DW300 (even not a G shock) made in Japan which is 40 years old...DW300 feels like a stone compared to Banana.....Banana becomes soft in the sun, I got a feeling it's going to melt down, like the ice cream at the sun. good video, get rid of that GAB, start buying Casio made in Japan, Japan is his home, not China

I have a lot of casio watches but not one from China, most of them are made in Thailand, Korea and a few of them are made in Japan. I have the DW-290-1V which is not a g-shock but is very heavy duty looking. I don't remember where it was made,it's almost 20 years old. Last month my wife bought me a protrek watch, the prw-6900y-3er for my birthday. It's a very interesting watch, with a steel bezel octogonal design,green strap just like on my mudmaster,even the module and functions are identical to the GWG 1000, tough movements made in Japan, but cased in Thailand. I'm wearing this protrek for two weeks now, and the quality is very decent. The new mudmasters are also made in Thailand. Casio is manufacturing watches in Thailand for a long time. I don't know why China is using different quality standards, or just using this new bioresin material for the new models, which feels different from the older models. Anyway the lower end models are not made in Japan, so you have to pay more if you want japan quality. A good example is the GW 5000U, I like this one. But I will be more careful on the future when I'm looking for a new watch to avoid a chinesium. 👍👍👍

@@fuloplehel Well, there's something that you didn't think about, and that's a big part of today's world, that's profit. As soon as Casio realised that GA2100 is a success (even though I don't understand why), they said ''why not to earn more'', and shifted the GAB production in China. I got DW290 too (I got 2 of those) and that's the only Casio which really deserved to be a G shock, that's a big shame on Casio. That Protrek module can be the same as GWG1000 but in general feeling is absolutely different, I'm sure (I got GWG1000 off course, that's one of the best watches ever) I don't know about the modern ones, but there's a lot of squares like collabs, anniversary models or some special editions made in Japan which aren't so expensive, but they are extremely hard to find, I know that since I got a whole box of squares without a single video at the KZbin....every single one made in Japan, and I can tell you....they are very different than DW5600 made in Thailand at my wrist right now. GW5000U isn't bad, that watch is allright, that's 50 shades of grey that watch, but okay, it works well, a quality isn't the top but it isn't bad (I have it off course), but to be honest, I would choose DW5035D anniversary in front of GW5000U, as I said it's not expensive but it's beautiful, it's basic (like every square should be), it's hard to find and it's made in Japan.

@@termit520 I think about that, every single company is doing that, that's why China is the factory of the world. Anyway I don't like the new released watches from casio. If you watch other KZbin channels you will find out the great designs and watches from the 90's and the early 2000's. I have some older calculator watches, and remote controller ones, mostly made in Thailand and Korea and after 20 years nothing wrong with them. The GWG 1000 was the first mudmaster, overengineered, and after that, optimization and corner cutting started, to maximize profit, and new versions were launched. That's why we like the vintage watches, cars. And finally I'm not trying to compare the protrek to the war machine, yes it is a smaller watch, flimsy springbars and lugs compared to the mudmaster. But the movement is the same and is made in Japan, actually I think I like this protrek. The GA 2100 is best selling, it's cheap, perfect for the masses, and shareholders.

You know, termit, I haven’t really paid attention to that. I’ll start looking. Today I’m wearing the Casio WS-B1000 and it says made in Thailand.

@@JimKinkade I know that you didn't paid attention, I'm also wearing my daily driver DW5600 made in Thailand (I had to improve it with some Jays and Kays adapters and some good FKM rubber strap, both things is more expensive than a watch), but it can not be compared with any of my JDM DW5600 (made in Japan)...a rubber is different, a band is different, that's different watch, a couple of levels above. If it's going to be clearer to you, made in Thailand, China, and made in Japan is like you want to compare your truck in the oil fields and some wannabe french SUV (it's hard to call it the SUV) . As soon as you touch the Japanese Casio, you know that's a right one, doesn't matter, G shock or any other line....a feeling is different straight away.
