Hi David, excellent comparison, thank you! Why Casio didn't choose to use a MIP display for this new release is a huge oversight, such a cool watch but really let down by the negative/inverted display, people who use the watch for what it was designed to be used for will want to be able to see the information at a quick glance... Though having said that I'm still torn between the positive and negative.

Genialne porównanie, lepszego nie znalazłem w Internecie. Dobra robota! Kupiłem zielonego i nie mam problemów z odczytaniem wartości, a używam go zarówno na zewnątrz jak i wewnątrz. Jasne, że jest mniej czytelny od pozytywowych wyświetlaczy bo nie jest to MIP. Myślałem, że będę musiał często używać podświetlenia, aby odczytać godzinę, ale okazuje się, że nie, nie ma takiej konieczności, użyłem podświetlenia ledwie parę razy i to bardziej aby się pobawić i potestować funkcje auto light. Zegarek jest wygodny, ładny, a dla mnie zegarek to nie tylko tool watch, ale część męskiej biżuterii, która musi cieszyć moje oczy gdy na niego patrzę. Nie jest mój jedyny zegarek, ale pierwszy G-Shock i jestem zadowolony z jego posiadania. Mój syn ma GW-9400 Rangeman, który ma takie same funkcje jak GW-9500 i też jest mega fajnym zegarkiem.

Sehr gutes Erklärvideo. Danke dafür. Ich habe mir nun im Urlaub in Polen die grüne Mudman gekauft. Ja, die ist nicht so gut ablesbar, je nach Lichteinfall. Aber das ist meine Rolex Explorer 2 auch nicht. 😜 Die Mudman ersetzt nun meine ProTrek PRW-3500-1. Ich liebe den tollen G-Shock Look. 😍

AFAIK, Casio used an old technique, the dual layer LCD, to enable the compass bearing overlay (think Pro Trek). MIP will not allow that.

There is no reason to get the 9500 when the GBD H2000 is similar price...GBD has almost all functions of 9500 but has more

The H2000 battery life is horrible. The Mudman is way more durable and a much better survivability watch off grid. Also, if you want a smart watch then get an Apple Watch Ultra … the H2000 you can’t even respond to a text message and the heart rate monitor destroys that battery.

@ShaunKVideos I don't think mudman is more durable and has better survivability. They are both G Shocks and are built using same standard. GW9500 even looks cheap with that design. Apple watch is out of question because it is not durable and requires charging every day. If you think H2000 battery is bad, the H1000 has better battery and is cheaper and still offer way more than the GW9500. So I think GW 9500 is a failure it does not fit the gap between GW9400 and GBDH series. It has the price of GBDH series while offers same functions as GW9400, while simultaneously has the worse display of all 3 series.

@@ZhangJingxi, you compared the negative display Mudman. The positive display Mudman has WAY better and perfect legibility compared to the H2000. The Mudman can go 9 months or more in complete darkness with it’s solar powered battery and the H2000 battery life is horrible … also, the H2000 does not offer more features than the Mudman. The Mudman literally has the same features with the exception of a few smartphone features which don’t work that great anyway hence the reason I referenced the Apple Watch Ultra which is way better with the smart features and also a durable watch. You also stated in your video that the Mudman is more expensive and you failed to address that because you know you’re wrong on that too.

Sehr schade, dass es das grüne Modell nur mit negativem Display bzw. ohne MIP gibt. MIR bringt es wenig, wenn eine Uhr schön ausschaut, aber ich dafür Schwierigkeiten habe die Uhrzeit jederzeit schnell ablesen zu können ohne zum Schlangenmenschen zu werden. 😉 EDIT: Aber danke für das gute Video so dass ich mir einen guten Eindruck der verschiedenen Displays machen konnte. 🙂 Werde mir die grüne Version mal im Laden anschauen und mich dann entscheiden ob das was für meine Augen ist.

No entiendo por qué Casio sigue haciendo pantallas negativas con esa pésima calidad en algunos de sus modelos cuando su tecnología actual sigue siendo nefasta en determinadas condiciones; el reloj Fitness lo saca con una pantalla negativa de urna enorme calidad y con el Mudman te tragas esa pantalla paupérrima, ¿esto significa que en algún momento te sacarán el Mudman con esa pantalla para que pases por caja de nuevo? Casio Casio…. Se supone que estos relojes son herramientas por encima de todo y es inverosímil que en algún momento inoportuno o extremo necesitemos leer los datos de la pantalla y no veamos más que nuestro careto reflejado en ella. Definitivamente la pantalla en positivo es la pantalla a poseer en estos relojes pero claro, solo la tienes en uno de ellos, en el negro que es el reloj más “común”, que casualidad; en el verde militar o naranja que son los más llamativos y bonitos te tienes que comer esa a mi juicio en ocasiones terrible pantalla ilegible. Soy un Afortunado poseedor del Pro Trek prg-340 verde militar con pantalla positiva y debo decir que pensaba adquirir este nuevo Mudman en verde militar porque me encanta ese color, pero no lo haré hasta que Casio deje de obligarme a elegir entre pantallas positiva / negativa o colores. Seguiré súper contento con mi Pro Trek que me sirve absolutamente para todo en agua y en tierra. Gran vídeo y gran honestidad la tuya! saludos!!!

Ich finde die Displays schlecht. "Milchige Zahlen" Das sind die billigen Module von Casio... Hauptsache das drumherum sieht wieder gut aus. Leider bin ich da raus. Auch die " Blickwinkelstabilität" Ist übel. Leichte Drehung des Handgelenkes und die Zahlen oder Werte sind kaum noch abzulesen. Danke für dein Video.👍 Ich habe eine alte Protrek wo das Modul Top ist! Schwarze Zahlen und gute Blickwinkel! Wird halt nicht mehr gebaut.... Schade
