Haven't felt the need for a watch with mobile always on hand, but wow, received one for wedding anniversary and now refuse to take off. Solar wasn't an issue for me, as others have stated easy to replace and only a 3 or 4 dollar battery. Waiting to take on camping trip to explore gps locations, cool feature. If your on the fence, in my humble opinion it's a no brainer.

I got the gravity master with Blue strap! Most people always complain that it doesn't have solar power, but the battery life is good for 5 years or more and a new battery only cost $3 or less. The Mudmaster version of this watch is nice too!

Just got the exact same model. Wasn't sure about the orange until I saw it in person. It looks really cool. The negative LCD is ok, for me. It was between this one and the GW-9400, but I love the analog G-Shock dials so this one won.

Agreed the lack of solar is quite disappointing, especially, at that price point! Mine is a green strap and I wish I had gotten the black. Are Casio replacement straps available? Can they be replaced?

I love the WHAT? NO SOLAR? There’s a lot going on in this watch. I don’t know if solar could push it just yet. Plus all you need is a screwdriver and a new battery. Not exactly requiring a degree in engineering

I have the GWG-1000, 2 GWG-2000s and a GWG-B1000 so thought I may as well get a GG-B100 and see what it’s like. I like the GWG-1000 the best by the way.

What the size difference between the GG-B100 vs GWG 2000? From the videos I’ve seen it looks like the GG-B100 looks smaller and not as wide as the GWG2000 but thicker from the side. I’m debating on these two watches and not sure. Thoughts?

i think the size is the reason this doesn't have solar. you'll need a bigger watch face so that the powerhungry module can be fed. cf. gwg-1000 size (minus bluetooth!) and this one.

With Bluetooth to the phone , when u arrive in a different time zone and ur phone gets updated to correct time, simply connect this once to ur phone to auto adjust ur home setting … nothing is easier …

If you set the temperature. It will stay accurate.

You're saying it like it's a new technology. Casio has solar power for many years. Solar powered watches have their downsides too.

I'd would have bought this watch in a second if it had solar. Got a Rangemaster instead which can be found for extremely good deals. Otherwise Protreks are great anidig outdoors watches. I don't think the casio solar cell can put out the power do do both bluetooth and the sensors though. I don't think ANY of their moduls combine it.
