Nicely done with the rodico. What I do though is use a tiny dab of o-ring lube on the tip of a screwdriver to pick up the clips, to kind of place and push in one step.

Egy ilyen videóra vártam már kb egy éve. Az egyik legfontosabb a gombok alatti tömítés. Szilikon zsírral kell bekenni a gombokon lévő gumi tömítéseket. A felvétel nagyon jó és egyben jól bemutatja hogyan kell kiszedni a gombokat. Sajnos nagyon picikék azok a gomb tartó biztonsági gyűrűk. Nehéz őket levenni és vissza tenni. Legalább 5-10 évente kellene cserélni a gombokon lévő tömítő gumi gyűrűket és a hátlapi tömítést.

Ive just got the GMD-S5600-1 but want to replace the buttons for gold ones. I have a larger square gshock that appears to have similar sized buttons. Just wondering if i could get some gold ones designed for one of the square models that would fit my GMD-S5600-1?

I've never seen genuine Casio buttons for sale, but what I have done, is just pick up a used G or two on Ebay cheap. Doing this, will save a load of money on other parts, like bezel and caseback screws, which go for $20+ USD a set, gaskets, extra buttons, batteries, and modules. Even bezels, if they're in decent shape.

Are these buttons larger/ taller than the originals? I just got a square and are considering options for the buttons because I find them so hard to press.

I've done a button replacement on mine too. The clips are so tiny if you drop one anywhere it's gone.

Too bad the clip doesn't show how you handled the bezel. Because, as I think, it no longer fits either the Gw-B5600 or the metal one from the GMW-B500. So what did you use?

Being that this video is a year old and seems like you have a lot of experience with this mod/repair; how have the buttons held up? Has it affected the watertightness at all? That's the biggest worry that I have about doing this mod.

I did a button swap at least a year ago and have washed hands multiple times a day and haven’t noticed any water damage. I’ve probably wore it swimming and in a hot tub or two as well. It’s still perfect. The buttons are not easy to install the first time you do it though. The clips to hold them in are minuscule. If you drop one on floor it’s gone.
