It looks pretty that's for sure! And I like how they've made a chassis that will save themselves money by fitting under many different shells! Pretty ironic then that if you only ever have the one set of cars and track, it'll make no difference to you. What a shame they didn't make the slot guide position adjustable. Even so I'll probably buy one, because why not?! 😁

Listening to the sound of the two different tire types as they circulated the track I immediately heard what sounded like the chassis dragging on the track more with the race tires. Lower is faster typically but perhaps this was negated because of the ground clearance? The magnet would be closer to the track too so you would have to overcome the drag on the straights. How was the track clearance between the two tire types? I imagine a couple hundred laps on each set of tires would give us a more definitive answer. I wish I were your neighbor! You lucky dog!
@thatslotcarguy3 жыл бұрын
You are spot on the clearance between the two was noticeable due to the tyres being different sizes. Correct more laps would most definitely change the outcome but also setup of the chassis itself but in fairness to review all cars receive a no setup policy and from box to track testing. But this car is amazing as it would allow you to set it up in many ways

Strange that several big japanese toy companies has tried to enter the slot car market but all failed miserably. Aside from Gslot we've had tries from Takara (co op with Hornby), HPI and Kyosho that hasn't stayed long but makes you think what could have been had they just dared to invest in some more models.
