Love the curved switch, I wish you guys would make a 6 foot outside, 4 foot inside curved switch for smaller layouts.. I wish Piko also would make a Coaling Tower and Sand House like the ones Pola had made a few years ago that no one can get anymore.. Can you pass these ideas on to them...

+Babs Courtney Babs, thank you for the suggestion. Obviously demand is the number one factor for any new product but we will pass the idea long to our market specialist’s and see if they think a smaller curved turnout would be profitable for the company and modeling community.

What is the price of this turnout?

Hi Jonathan, what do you think the most economical way to buy a 16 foot circle of G scale track, please? It would have to be brass (for outside), but I wondered if there's a way of buying rail, and making our own sleepers (ties)? This is for the UK market. Cheers.

+RMLectronics East Yorks I'm not sure of the prices in your area, but PIKO offers all the components to make flex track. In this case, if you make your circle just slightly less than 16 feet diameter, a single tube of 20 #35251 1.5m (5') rails and two boxes of 25 #35250 320mm (12.6") tie strips will make the circle. Of course, you'll also need rail joiners, such as our 35293 RailClamps. If you want to minimize rail joints, we also offer tubes of 20 pieces of #35250 rail in 3m (10') lengths, but that generally has to be shipped via truck freight, so the delivery costs might be affected. In either case, you'll have flex track made from the very same high-grade virgin brass rail and UV-resistant ties as our sectional track.

Hey Jonathan question, I have a crest power supply for my power base, does piko offer a rheostat or handheld or desk top controller that can sit between the power supply and layout track to control direction and or speed?? Thanks steve, gr8 videos

Hi Steve: We offer two sizes of throttles (controllers): 35006 provides about 1.5 Amps variable DC output to the track, plus about 0.4 Amps of fixed DC for accessories. This is the same as we pack in our G-Scale starter sets. 35002 provides 5 Amps variable DC to the track (no accessory outputs). Those are honest ratings - they will put out their full voltage even when the full amperage is being demanded of them, which a lot of power supplies and controls won't do. More importantly, they put out what is called "pure DC", which is safe for the electronics in modern locos, such as decoders. Either one needs a DC power supply. They don't work on an AC power supply. If you also need a power supply (transformer), the 35025 1.9 Amp transformer is matched to the 35006 and the 35024 5 Amp transformer is matched to the 35002. Best regards, Jonathan
