I love G1, even the lack of articulation, the simplicity let our imaginations fly. I would be totally down for a new G1 style transformers line at a cheaper price point than today's toys. Stickers and all. Also people getting mad over you having to rub the... RUB SIGN. Y'all crazy.

Yeah, a lot of the Scramble City combiners were bad for that (Sinnerwtwin in particular, IIRC). Either the head would snap off at the connection point, usually right at the neck, or the 'spine' would break because trying to flex the joint to use as a shoulder connector rather than a knee joint would stress the plastic and many times the body was too tight to allow the easy manipulation and movement of the spine joint to swap from arm to leg mode and vice versa.

10:45 That happened to my Afterburner too. Except with him it it was one of the pegs that form the joint that snapped when he was in arm mode and I moved the arm. Luckily he still has that weird extra combiner peg so I could keep using him as a leg.

Those rub symbols of old only worked a few weeks after opening them, otherwise you had to rub them so if the glue beneath it was faulty, bye bye rub symbol.

I have three of the Terrorcons, (Hun-Gurrr, Cutthroat, and Rippersnapper) but Rippersnapper is my favorite because I found him at a vintage toy store with both guns missing, rusty joints, and one leg is chewed up by a dog. I decided to get him though and fix him up, so I bought replacement guns, de-rusted him, and I took some gauze and made a little cast for his foot.

Except that Sinnertwin is notorious for his design flaw- the opening in his chest is too narrow for the head to swing down properly, and puts too much stress on the joint, so they often break.

Actually, you can move Sinnertwin's robot mode head down, but you have to loosen a couple of screws first. you first need to loosen the screw on his waist (or remove it entirely at first) so that will start to loosen the pressure on the head so you can ease it down gently without risk of breaking it, and then start to loosen the one screw in the groove behind the robot mode head. Just by loosing those two screws just a smidge is enough that I can even use Sinnertwin in an arm mode without any stress on the head

I had several Sinnertwin figures over the years. The bluish-green plastic became brittle over time. I've never had the beast legs break on any but I've had the necks snap as well as breakages at the robot legs. I opened them up to fix them and found that there seems to be a piece on the inside that's causing too much resistance on the neck which is what's causing the necks to snap. Even with the brittle plastic, it's not brittle enough to snap on its own. Otherwise he'd never be able to combine as the stress of plugging him into Hun-Gurr's feet would cause Sinnertwin's head to shatter. It's the piece of molded yellow plastic on the inside that's really causing the necks to snap on this figure. So I'd just avoid trying to make him an arm unless you try to do something about that. I've long since sold all of mine so I can't say for sure what and where the piece is but I do remember something being there that was almost preventing the neck from moving. I did multiple tests after I fixed the necks and the piece was trying to split Sinnertwin apart at the seem while I was moving the neck. I did this without the screws in otherwise the neck would've just broke again. So while that piece is inside and the screws are in, the neck will keep breaking no matter how well you fix it. Just locate the problem piece and cut/sand/file it off/down to prevent it from breaking the neck when going to arm mode.

You should do a review on the APC001 Attack Prime. It’s basically a re make of the first optimus prime from transformers prime. (That’s a lot of primes) it’s manufactured by a third party Company but the figure just looks amazing. I think it will bring us all good memories.

Sinnertwin, he's my favourite of this set :( His head is supposed to rotate down though so I am thinking the joint had seized up on this copy, mine goes rotates down without any problem. I never did finish this set and I need to one of these days, once I find the rest at a price I am willing to pay.

got Hun-gurr, Ultra Magnus, and Metroplex all together one year for Christmas...I think Hun-gurr was my favorite next to the white Optimus of Ultra Magnus. Wish I would have got the whole set back then, but kind of hard to do. should probably get me a reproduction when i get the chance
