So when I went to see Honey I Blew Up the Kid and I saw the G2 trailer, I nearly spilled my popcorn in excitement. so the Preds thing. OG BW Preds were animals because they used the organic shells as hazmat suits against Energon radiation overload. BWII didnt have this iirc, so while the Maximals scanned native wildlife, the Predacons used an ancient supercomputer to adopt forms based on local military hardware
@misterbadguy73252 жыл бұрын
Really, it was because BWII was a cheap filler series and consequently was, barring about two or three characters in the entire line, recycled molds. And they needed SOME justification for why half the characters were G2 and Machine Wars molds...
@OtakuUnitedStudio2 жыл бұрын
According to backstory in the comics, the BE Predacons were literally the descendants of the G1 Predacon team, and were so successful and prolific they basically overtook the Decepticons entirely. I don't know if words can properly describe the love and respect I have for this man. This guy basically single-handedly reignited my love for Transformers and also changed the entire way I see action figures and hobbies in general? I was always one to get stuck on the imperfections, never really diving back in because nothing was absolutely perfect or fit my very specific tastes. Always banging on about how much better 3rd party was despite not being able to even afford one, and turning up my nose at anything that wasn't the apex of action figure potential...whatever that is. But then Thew came along, bashed my preconceived perfectionist notions on the head with a well-placed portmanteau, a healthy heaping of immaculate vibes. and just the snazziest shirts I've ever seen. His review on Siege Spinister talked me into picking him up during the early days of the pandemic, and then it finally clicked. Transformers are awesome, man. And I can thank my rediscovery of one of my favorite hobbies to this awesome man. I wouldn't ever imagine saying that a toy reviewer on the internet helped me to become a better, more well-rounded and generally more positive person, but here I am. I feel like since watching Thew I've been able to see a bit more of the silver-lining, to enjoy things on their own terms and just allow myself to enjoy myself. So here's to you Thew, rock on you absolute madman.
