@@Icefiz Technically, CG are not out yet. You can get out of groups with 3-3, even without a tie breaker if everything goes well for you. You could even get out of groups with a 2-4 with a tie breaker. While I never did expect CG to win a single game (and much less so after their first 3 games) in this group even though FNC are underperforming so massively, CG are NOT "Definitely out" at this point.

Seems like they int but at the end of day only jungle and support died few times. Mid top and yasuo were well farmed and when they hit their core items they start grouping for get objects and team fights. In poor words the 3 carries were never behind this game.

Definitely not an unhealthy ego issue here. You can see from their expressions it's a very calculated handicap they are giving themselves, either at a specific time, number of deaths, objectives, etc. They will dominate all the while they can play loose and without pure serious intent in every game. If something remains fun, it remains engaging

The reason he tries these odd picks against Teddy and Uzi is because he can't stand up in lane against them in a traditional marksmen matchup. Look back to his previous 8 losses for a single win against Uzi; these defeats were largely due to his non-ability to compete in lane. Hard to fault him for trying a different approach when Rekkles just doesn't have the capacity to compete in a standard lane

@Git Gud I think what he's worried about that G2 takes the games too lightly and int too hard, we don't want to see a too cocky G2 at worlds. I love their out of the box thinking and picking strange lanes and play "troll" comps ect. this is the reason why I started following them. But what they did vs fnc in the LEC is nothing what we/I don't want to see in worlds. I don't want them to do the reverse swipe or be in the situation so they have no other option but to reverse swipe the game. (even if getting 5 Games is great) I just want them to win worlds and make it entertaining but not loosing because they were joking too hard or got ahead of themself. If they troll they should troll with picks which makes sense for them. (We didn't forget that Kha'zix pick I guess which could have turned out great but didn't or not beeing able to answer a jax and picking the match up they lost toplane with a second time cause they didn't respect the jax pick who just 1 v 9)

To me perkz is the best bot lane in league of legends. The way he can play anything really effects the choices of the other team and makes him a huge asset to his team. So flexable ane mechanically solid. Between him and caps I think g2 will win the whole thing.

See, G2 had extremely clean and quick games against C9 and GRF but struggled the most against HKA. I just hope they realize how overhyped Faker is and that the true threat in SKT is Clid and Khan, especially if Khan is ahead. And Teddy is pretty much a hard to kill bait on botlane. In my opinion at least, if they prioritize Khan and Clid, they should win. They have also shown that they can beat SKT. So they can do it again.

The only enemy of G2 is G2. Enemies in all of this first 3 matches have been reacting to G2 mistakes pretty much. G2 are so high speed tempo that they greed sometimes (Mikyx today in lane, or Wunder and Jankos yesterday). If G2 is able to not greed but at the same time keep going this agressive (counsciously) they win easy Worlds.

This greed allows them to take openings that other teams wont. Often you can't have all the advantages from one thing without the disadvantages. You need both and then still manage to hit a net positive, which is what G2 are doing.
