One of the most shaky split in LEC history but Odo finally getting a trophy is the happy ending we all needed. Massive jungle diff, not even Jankos underperforming but Malrang just playing without fear. It was a team diff overall though, not even Caps was winning (maybe BB) but Odo was so dang good in team fights.
@leocurro2 жыл бұрын
Three things I'd like to say: 1) Last year Comp was playing on Vitality and got replaced with a supposed 'super' carry who won 2 splits and today and yesterday he showed he could step up and was actually better than both upset and flakked. 2) Jankos said a few days ago that the 4 teams that should be going to worlds are G2, FNC, XL and RGE. And only reason for RGE is because they beat MAD in a B05 otherwise they shouldn't go at all... and then today happened. get humbled. 3) i've been a league fan for 10+ years, watched rogue dominate I believe 5 splits in a row and then get squashed in finals, its awesome to see them triumph (especially since they're being bought out no?)
@Magamonair2 жыл бұрын
That's a good turn of events for Rogue, they were resilient and deserve to win against most odds. It's also a good refresher for G2 that they are not invincible and that they must play their best if they wanna win. Always a good reminder especially for worlds. Great finals to watch!

RGE's strat on targeting Jankos is very good. I mean, he is the heart and soul of G2. Yeah most of the time he was just getting caught but even if there are other targets, they really focus on Jankos. For me that's a good strat when taking G2 since Jankos enables his lane when he can pretty much do what he wants, but if they shut him down or disrupt his pathing, even Caps will have a hard time in laning since his top and bot are good, but not as good to be left alone. Congrats to RGE specially to Odo on finally having that LEC title. Good luck to G2 on upcoming Worlds.

I think the current meta doesn't suit G2. There's way too much emphasis on bot lane which is G2's weakest link. Targa and Flakked are good, but they are best at playing weak side and being consistent in team fights. Their lane phase, however, is quite weak and they aren't good enough to be the main carries of the team. They are both still very new to the LEC and this might not always be the case, but the bot lane gap this series was very noticeable. I think G2 will struggle to find success out of groups if the meta doesn't change/adjust going into worlds. Rogue looks strong and they could have a great run at worlds, but I just think the LPL and LCK teams, and especially their bot lanes, are simply a level above. I guess we will see.

It's really unfortunate for LEC and LCS teams when Riot interferes too much in the game, leading to the meta always having to follow Riot's wishes. If LoL is more balanced then I believe LEC and LCS will be stronger now because of their creativity and enterprising

What a performance from Malrang, Comp and Trymbi. Well, Jankos and Craps helped too. While I still think Upset and Hyli have the higher ceiling, it is an indisputable fact that Comp and Trymbi have been the overall best botlane in LEC this summer also because they were more consistent than anyone else. Most deserved for them.

Wouldnt really say mid was gapped. Its hard when you have no team

When you're team is ahead, everyone is going to look better. The reality is that jg and especially bot got gapped. Caps and BB couldn't get advatages besides that one outplay caps had on Larssen. Larssen and Odo were too solid and so they ran away with the game via bot side. Mid and top were basically even.
@luukdewaal96482 жыл бұрын
@@markusvonwersebe1295 How is top even this series? BB had 0 impact during all teamfights and was behind even when on counter matchups. Only role that came close to even this series was mid, but even then Larssen played better than Caps

As a G2 fan, I can confidently say that I am happy with Rogue's victory. They deserved it like no other, and seeing Odo touched is something beautiful. GG Rogue🤍

Bro if you are rly G2 you dont text like that..........For me it's hard to say gg because this 0:3 disaster was just too weak from G2 and whether fan or not a clear 3:0 is never exciting and good
