Video just showing if a little E85 makes a difference in my 2021 G20 330i. I’m limited to 91 octane in California so wanted to do a little blend to help the timing on my car.
Before you use E85 make sure you do research and calculate what your car can handle. If it’s stock, chances are you can’t go above E30, but I would limit the amount of E85 you add to even lower without a tune.

based on your 1/8 mile run, your 1/4 mile trap speed wouldve been 105-107 mph. Pretty damn solid and easily stronger than stock👍🏻

California is not truly limited to 91 octane. You just need to know where to look for 100 and know mix ratios. Some stations still have 100 at pump...or sell cans of fuel.

Well yea, but that’s basically the same route as with e85 which will give a leaner fuel . Most stations don’t sell 100oct nor e85 so most of us fill with 91 octane more regularly in California whereas many other states can fill up with 93 on a regular basis.

You need to code sports+ in via bimmer code, without that your transmission wont shift fast enough to take advantage of the 4.5 PSI overboost from JB+. in sports individual your barely faster than comfort mode hence why your best dig was 0.16 faster than the advertised 5.3 seconds with JB+. in sports plus stock on a 330i xdrive you can hit 60 in 5 seconds easy. with JB+ set to 6 o clock ( 4.5 PSI ) you cant hit 60 in 4.3 seconds. your torque jumps all the way up tp 357ft-lb ( BMS undershoots torque value, they advertise 40 but you get 63., horsepower is right on the money at 31 wheel or 55 crank ).

I have a 19 330i. i have the JB4 and run map 3 with 4 gallons of e85 and then finish off with 93 octane..definitely way more fun than stock

@@keith9851 I haven't measured my 0-60 time but the highest numbers for our engine stock with the highest jb4 setting is about 40hp to the wheels almost 60hp to the crank. You def feel the difference, she's a good time

@@rearwheeled8147 i have a 2013 535i xdrive and 93 out here on the east coast....im gonna try the jb+ and E85 mix on my .....bone stock car.....just to see where it stands....just changed my oil and have the colder plugs in it....i can only hope it puts a smile on my face as it did for you.....i will not be gettm the jb4 ...i hear that MHD...is the way to go ...so this will be a little grace rill i save up for the intercooler....downpipe (which will be heat wrapped)...charge pipe and MHD flasher tune and ill buy a map tuned for that set up.....after that....inlets....intercooler piping and pure stage 2 turbocharger....that should at least have me noticed

Bro what speed does your car max out at my 2020 330i maxes out at 131 MPH I had got a tune in which I shipped out my DME/ECU They removed the speed governor and it seem to work for a little bit but the tune was kind of choppy and when the car auto updated I lost it now just have bimmer code mods

Yea sadly the same on my end. Not sure why bmw maxed our cars out to 130 but currently no way to remove without a tune. Cant do it with Bimmercode

Why would you be concerned with a 130mph limit on public roads?

@@rearwheeled8147 they're speed governed at 130mph because the stock continental tires (or whatever they came with) have a maxed-out speed rating at 130 mph. Any faster and you can quite literally rip the tires off the sidewall from centrifugal forces. AKA, the tires wont handle going past 130 mph.

I guess your car was soaked with heat cuz those are not really good times. stock 0-60 is 5.4. i got 4.7 with my e30 mix, a indy 500 fs tire, and +3 lbs of boost on wet roads. so it think you can do better.

For e85 you’ll be fine with just a tune. You can run it without the tune but you just won’t see any benefits since the car is targeting a stock boost at stock levels. If you start adding more Ethanol than you’ll have to invest in a bit more upgrades.

not neccisarilly he mixed it with 91 octane making the fuel around e30 which I heard is safe for the stock tune but I'm not super sure the good thing is with the new generation of b46/b48 engines (2019+) they have stock high pressure fuel pumps wich means you don't have to make any physical fuel system modifications to be able to run e85. however, you still need an e85 tune. I recommend jb4 which has a e85 map built in to it so unless you get tuned to run e85 I highly recommend just sticking to 91 or 93 octane if available
