Did the oil cooler get hit from the bottom side ? Is it because of the flimsy plastic under tray bmw still puts under ? Lol is there any after market skid plate to protect the oil cooler ? Sorry for the questions, but I’d like to know, loving the content, just subbed 💪🏽

You mentioned 275 squared is too small. Do you think you could run 295 r7's squared?

Also, when you are tracking, are you in manual/shift mode ? Or auto. If so, why ? I’m coming from an track S2000 so tracking my g80 is a must, but I don’t want to ruin the auto trans lol

What wheel/tire setup are you going for now in the m3 being the 275 squared wasn't adequate?

So glad to know I went off and broke my splitter and endplates because you “jerry rigged” an oil cooler, ya know, the worst thing you could get on track. An engine blowing or catastrophic failure I understand, but a knowingly poor job on an important part of the car? I hope to never be on track with you again

Sorry to hear that the oil sent you off. What actually caused ours to come loose was the other car’s oil spill that sent me off and put me in the dirt the session prior. When we say “jerry rigged” we mean adapted the s55 oil cooler with proper lines and fittings due to the lack of availability of the factory s58 oil cooler for 6 weeks. We’re still running it currently, and ran it the rest of the competition since we had to cut the oil lines and now the oil lines aren’t available for another 8 weeks. These incidents occur, and although we’re sorry it happened, I don’t hold anything against the guy who spilled the oil in front of me. We’re all out there pushing at the limit and doing lots of things trackside to make it to our sessions. I’m glad to hear all that happened to you was a broken splitter. Reviewing our video, you let me pass right before Riverside and the smoke started coming from our car at the beginning of Riverside. I think I remember hearing the organizers announce that you needed a welder the next day following this practice session and we actually made some calls to see if our welder was on his way or not to try and help whoever it was that needed welding trackside.
