In This Vlog We Are Going To Travel Gangasagar From Kolkata Esplanade Bus Stand. Its a Holy Place for Hindus The river Ganges meets the sea.
it is Around 120 kms from kolkata you can take bus from Esplanade bus Stand from kolkata if you travel Through Govt city bus fare is 170 for a single person in Ac Bus. it will take 3 to 4 To reach Kakdweep and then you have to take rikshaw or auto fir lot no. 8 ferry point which is 3 km from kakdweep bus stand at ferry point you will get g9vt ferry for sagar island in just 9 rs person. after Reaching to the sagar island you have to take auto texi or bus for gangasagar which is 25 km away from ferry point. if you book texi for round trip it cost you 500 to 600 rs for round trip and if you prefer city bus it takes 40rs per person or if you take sharing taxi or auto it will take 50rs per person. after Reaching gangasagar you can bath in sea and visit kapil muni ashram after completing darshan you can take your lunch there many hotels where you will get unlimited thali which is around 100 to 120rs. your journey is now complete you should go back to ferry point and take ferry to main land and then you can take trains and buses for kolkata.
NOTE :- Make sure To read The Time table of ferry before visiting sagar island becouse ferry timings is changing every day based on water level in river. so you should have to read the timing first.

Gangasagar is a place of Hindu pilgrimage. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti (14 January), hundreds of thousands of Hindus gather to take a holy dip at the confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer prayers (puja) in the Kapila Temple.[3]
The Gangasagar Mela and pilgrimage is held annually on Sagar Island's southern tip, where the Ganges enters the Bay of Bengal.[12] This confluence is also called Gangasagar or Gangasagara.[13] Near the confluence is the Kapila Temple.[13] The Gangasagar pilgrimage and fair is the second largest congregation of mankind after the triennial ritual bathing of Kumbha Mela.[14]
In 2007, about 300,000 pilgrims took the holy dip where the Hooghly meets the Bay of Bengal on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Almost five-hundred thousand pilgrims thronged Gangasagar in 2008.[15] For the rest of the year about 500,000 people come to the island.[16] According to reports on 14 January 2018, 18-2 million people had visited Gangasagar in 2018, against 1.5 million in 2017.Kakdwip subdivision has full rural population. The entire district is situated in the Ganges Delta. The southern part of the delta has numerous channels and islands such as the Henry Island, Sagar Island, Frederick Island and Fraserganj Island. The subdivision is a part of the Sundarbans settlements. A comparatively recent country-wide development is the guarding of the coastal areas by special coastal forces. The area attracts large number of tourists - Gangasagar and Fraserganj-Bakkhali are worth mentioning. Gobardhanpur holds a promise for the future.
From Kolkata, Diamond Harbour Road (NH-12) runs south around 90 km to Harwood Point, near Kakdwip, where a ferry runs to Kachuberia at the north end of the Gangasagar.[18] The Panchyat Samity maintains a parking area near the ferry landing. The ferry travels about 3.5 km across a distributary of the Ganges river (also known as Hooghly River or Muriganga river locally) to reach Kachuberia. Small boats also cross from Harwood Point to Kachuberia. Private cars and buses travel the roughly 32 km to the pilgrimage site at Gangasagar.[13] From the pilgrimage parking area the Kapila Temple is about 200 meters and the Gangasagar confluence is about 700 meters

@@dineshnepal8479 ganga hamare desh ki pavitra nadi hai .. gamgotri jaha se ganga nikalti hai se lekar rishikesh haridwar prayagraj banaras hote hue kolkata ke paas gangasagar island me samundra me mil jati hai .. yaha ganga ka last point hai and sastro me mana gya hai ki pandawo ne pind dan kiya tha yaha isi liye ye bahut famous thirth sthal hai ...kyu ki ye ak island hai to yaha aana jana thoda dikkat hai .. isi liye kahte hai .. har thirth baar baar ganga sagar ak baar.

See Its an Island If you want To take bike car from main land to gangasagar island There is a Ship for Vehicles to Take Island. But i suggest you to Go via Private Vehicle to lot no. 8 and then Cross River via Ferry and After Reaching island Book another Private Vehicle for sight seeing.
