Gaahls WYRD return with a hypnotic new mini-album, 'The Humming Mountain', to be released by Season of Mist in November. The mini-album follows the band’s critically-acclaimed debut album, ‘GastiR - Ghosts Invited,’ and sees the latest evolution of the esoteric dark metal project’s sound. The five song offering creeps in like a whispering demon, slowly entrancing the listener with its deep, dark gaze before it sinks its teeth in and drags you into the all-consuming abyss. 'The Humming Mountain' will be released on November 5, 2021.

This is a phenomenal album - surpassed all my expectations set by the first album. A smooth rajectory of all encompassing, imposing, atmospheric black metal - like being engulfed in a mountainside blizzard. Rugged intense. The climax of Awakening Remains is stunning. What a riff.
