Half of the first line is taken from Ameer Khusraw's famous poem " Zi-Haal e Miskeen Ma-Kun Taghaaful". The original poem is a mixture of tri-lingual lyrics of Ameer Khusraw, who has used the dialects of three different languages, starting from Persian, then Punjabi and Urdu. Most of the people agree that, he has actually used Persian and Purbi (old hindi) alone in this poem, not Urdu and Punjabi. Though Ameer Khussraw has written in 4-5 languages equally, like Purbi/Urdu/Punjabi/Sansikrat/Persian etc. The interpretation of this poem is not so easy, as one has to have commands on these languages, but the one who does have command on Persian and Urdu can better understand the lines. Original version is sung by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali khan.
