@ there is a coding error present back in Generation 5 (and is still present today) that states any pokemon that reached speed over 1809 while Trick Room is present, they will ignore Trick Room and goes first anyway. Deoxys-speed is one of the few Pokemon that can achieve this. One of the other known Pokemon is Regieleki.

@ due to coding limitations/errors (not sure which) a rollover is caused if speeds go past what their assigned bit of memory can store. So for example, the cap is 4096, you have 4098 speed, it rolls over to 2. Trick room just adds a bunch of speed to roll over fast Pokémon while not rolling over slow ones who then chill at ~3000 speed. (not necessarily the actual numbers) This is where Deoxys and Regieleki come in, see, with speed boosts, they can get speeds in Trick Room of ~7500 causing a rollover still leaving them at ~3500 speed, (again, example numbers, not real) faster than the fattys in Trick Room.

If your playing beyond Gen 5 when Sturdy got tweaked to act like a Focus Sash, another method that doesn't fail is Metal Burst Bastiodon. But yeah, Trick Room can work if you place it down just right. It's a wonder a Held Item for extending it hasn't come out by now.

one item that I wish I could use effectively is "room service" when trick room is active then this item activates and reduces your speed by one stage. unfortunately this item while having pottential it is completely outclassed by other items like power band,which halve your speed.
