This is Nick's wife- He's my carpenter. The GOAT of husband's! We found out I had stage 3 breast cancer 7 months after we were married. We've been married 13yrs this coming July 4th, after fighting to live for 5 years-( while he bathed me and changed the drain tube's sticking out of me and looked at me with nothing but love when all my hair fell out and they cut off my breast and I was sick and scarred), we had 3yrs cancer free. It returned October of 2022- metastatic, it's in my lungs and bones now, and they say I only have a 22% chance to live past 5yrs. And he hasn't blinked an eye. Now he works 2 jobs and takes care of me and still makes me feel, everyday, that I'm the only woman in the world that matters. He is above and beyond "one of the good ones" and I just sent him this at work. Live life as full as you can, love with everything you have, dance like nobody's watching, and leave this world with no regrets of a life well lived no matter how short.❤

I had one of the good ones. We were married for 44 years, and he passed away from a widow maker heart attack last spring. I wish I had told him how much I appreciated him more; I wish I'd not taken him for granted. My best advice to anyone who has a good one is to express those sentiments and don't expect them to be there from now on. Make sure you say all the things you should have said if they don't make it to tomorrow.

When I met my husband, he was going through the worst part of Chron's disease, he was severely underweight, could barely leave the house and had to wear a colostomy bag after having over a third of his intestines removed. Today 4 years later he's so strong and healthy and doesn't need to wear his bag anymore, and I'm so happy I took a chance on someone without seeing them at face value because he's one of the good ones. He's literally my hero.

Watching my husband care for his 86 year old mother who has dementia. Sitting up with her all night to just put his hand on her shoulder and tell her "it's ok mom, I'm here" so that she would go back to sleep. Being I am destine for the wheelchair, I said to my fiancee before we got engaged that I might be in a wheelchair by the time we get married, she said, she'd marry me anyways. That I am one of the few... Good Ones. Even though we both live with disabilities, we see each other past the struggles of our difficult past and disabilities, and see forward. I have worked many hard jobs, owned three successful businesses, and have done a lot for people and expected nothing in return. I live also with cancer. I can honestly say I have a great one. I have been married to him for 29 years. We have 5 amazing kids and a full life. It hasn't always been easy but it has been worth every struggle.
