@@Dude-etiquette Gabby, Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson used to work on Match of the Day together (latter two have now retired). As coworkers, it is assumed that between takes they chat too each other, ask about their day. By saying that joke, Bob is suggesting that Alan and Mark don't like Gabby so don't talk to her.
