New to your channel. Just binge watched some of your videos. I’m so glad that there are people vlogging their experiences being from America going to Africa. Especially since you’re a 2nd generation African migrant. Most of my African friends here in Detroit hardly ever move back which I always thought was bizarre. But thanks to them I’ve travelled to Senegal and Nairobi and I learned that so many of us make an emotional decision to just up and move to Africa. I was about to do that back in 2019. I’m from Detroit and was fed up with a lot of things here and like many others I was about to move to Africa. Was literally about to sell my car. 😂 Thankfully my Senegalese friends talked me out of it. I for sure would’ve fell flat on my behind. Although I love visiting Africa, I’m way too accustomed to a thriving business economy and western accommodations. A factor that I was completely oblivious to. Even as a union tradesmen in Detroit I have no issue making good money nor do I have to seek job opportunities. And I’m reliant upon making that amount of money. Which at this point there’s no way I’d make anywhere close to the same amount in Senegal. Anywho, I appreciate your transparency of your experiences. I would love to see more African migrants vlog their experiences and obstacles when repatriating back to their home countries.

😆 welcome to the channel! Interesting but I totally get where you are coming from. We all get like that sometimes. That was me in the beginning and that’s why I ended up coming back twice cuz I was not ready. If you still want to move it’s possible but I would suggest short periods before making a decision to make the whole move. The motherland is beautiful and comfortable if you have certain things in place. So take your time and create the space you would enjoy than u can finally move. Hope that’s helpful!
