I finished The Maidens a couple of weeks ago and absolutely agree with your reaction. I read it in two days as well. Couldn't put it down once I started. I loved The Silent Patient too, but agree the overall vibe of The Maidens is even better!!! The interesting little thing thrown in at the end, the nod, if you will, was so freaking exciting. I was freaking out -- glad I'm not the only one!!

I am definitely going to read The Maidens and The Minders. I have already requested both from my library. I was so excited when you included both of these books in this reading vlog. I loved The Silent Patient last year. It was one if not my most favorite book of last year. I have read The One and The Passengers by John Marrs and loved both of them especially The One. Have you watched The One on Netflix yet? I have heard it is nothing like the book. I was laughing out loud when you were talking about Tank peeing on your comforter. I know it isn't really funny but you were trying to keep him off of it so I couldn't help laughing. Have a great weekend!

I can totally relate to Tank peeing on the comforter. My dog Bellatrix seems to have a gift for knowing when I have just washed and dried all the bedding and seizing that moment to jump on the bed with dirty paws or peeing on everything. I’m excited to read the Maidens. The Silent Patient is one of my favourite books.

I plan to read all his books but I think you should try the stand it’s huge and it’s one that’s always recommended to me and I doubt you’ll see this but you are what made me love reading again after being in a year long reading slump

I'm so going to read Red Riding Hood, which is a horror and thriller version of Little Red Riding Hood. Maybe I'll give the Lisbeth Sanders Series a go. I'll also give the Secret History a go. I read the Goldfinch, and that was a great book.

It does slow down in the middle (The Minders). And I had that exact same thought, not knowing if it was me. Honestly, I didn’t think it was as good as The One or The Passengers. Ha! You just said the same thing as I’m writing this! I had REALLY high expectations so that probably played into my not liking it as much. Also, have you seen The One Netflix adaptation? It doesn’t follow the plot, just the concept. But there was also another show from last year (I think) called Soulmates, that completely ripped off The One! I haven’t watched it yet, but I’m planning on checking it out.

I love my dog to death, but I had to have her stop sleeping or going on my bed. She would randomly pee on my blankets or sheets I've had to throw one away because it just kept smelling like urine.
