Great Game and I love watching these. Bobby - your commentary is always fun and I am happy to see players of all levels and abilities supporting and congratulating each other. Minor point of clarification on the Infield Fly Rule… The ball is not dead. The Batter is automatically out eliminating any force plays and all runners can stay at their base without chance of being put out by simply dropping the ball. The rule however states that they runners can advance at their own risk as the ball remains live. If the ball is caught, the runners must tag up before advancing however. In the game, the infield fly was called and then the ball was overthrown to first. All runners could have advanced if they wanted at that point as the ball is technically not dead. Great Game All!!!

Thanks! Many of our players have no clue what the infield fly rule is, so if they see that a pop up gets dropped, they're going to run, even after hearing me scream “Infield fly!" and they're very possibly going to run into a super annoying double or triple play unless I declare the ball dead in advance, so that's what I do. This isn't MLB and we're not using all of their rules, just like how in softball we haven't allowed a walk in six years because walks are boring and the players want to try to get hits. And in our baseball games pitchers have to go easy on weak hitters (like me) to give them a chance and to make it safer. Very different from MLB or any other baseball league.
