Well to look at it from their perspective she did kidnap a person and held them hostage in her basement, lying about it for months, her actions made a monster like sir into a far worse and more terrifyingly effective monster due to the fact that sir knows how she works, how her team works EVERYTHING, so there's no limit to the damage he could do to any of them, as I said before, Gabi allowed her trauma to take a very bad situation and turn it into a far worse situation that is going to turn horrific I fear at the very end of the season for ain't no way sir is far from done with gabi, he's really just getting started and now that he has an accomplish ( more than one I'm certain of it!! ) the stakes could have never been any higher! 🙄😕😔🫣🔥💯👍🏻

This reminds me of the Flash episode and later the invasion crossover episode where Barry had to tell everyone that he changed the timeline, and a couple of people were pissed at him about it, Barry had a valid reason, but still, and a few people also changed the timeline as well, and also understood what Barry went through.
