Thank you! for making this video. I dare say you make a better case for my event than I do. Glad to have you along!

Thank you! I've been fascinated by that house in Salem ever since I read the book. It does seem like a strange and mysterious place, in the book, although I don't think Hawthorne intended it that way.

How fun! I am already doing Alcott April, but i WILL be going to Boston in April and was already planning to read House of the 7 Gables on my trip. So i can have a little fun with this, too!

Oh, Boston in April sounds wonderful.. I've been to Boston twice, much earlier in life. Great fun. I just read about Boston in a history book, 1776 by David McCullough. I had no idea what the Revolutionary War was like, really, until I read that. The year started with the British occupying Boston and the revolutionaries including George Washington camped on the western side... well, how would I know that - I was educated in California so we didn't get much information about Massachusetts history! Well, here I am going on and on over just one word in your comment - Boston! I hope you enjoy reading The House of the Seven Gables! I actually liked that more than The Scarlet Letter.

Interesting read along. I’ve actually never read any of these books!!! Not even Anne of Green Gables. It’s on my radar though. 😊

I didn't read it until a few years ago. I missed everything about Anne when I was a child.
