This song is driven by the message that describes the essence of who Jesus is, what He did and does and the price He paid for us and our redemption and invites us to recognize Him as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. HI , I am so happy to see your reaction to a song by Gabriel from his Gospel repertoire, but above all the opportunity to hear him in his mother tongue . We have his raw voice, freed from the constraints of a foreign language, which can sometimes alter the interpretation. I discovered Gabriel's universe only a few months ago and his first Godspel song that pierced my heart, my soul and everything... was "Jesus me Guia E". Since then, I have been visiting his musical universe: His Gospel Songs in Portuguese and of course all his secular covers in English. And the fascination goes beyond his breathtaking Talent and extraordinary vocal abilities. I call him "The Brazilian Mozart of Whistles" I would say what makes Gabriel such a special performer is the very powerful spiritual connection that sets in almost instantly. And especially when he sings Godspell and "Oh Extraordinario" is no exception to the rule.... It is a Vocal Jewel, a magnificent musical arrangement and a well of Emotion carried by the ardor and the passion that Gabriel instills in each of his interpretations , but it is very noticeable in his Gospel Songs . That's what I really wanted to emphasize, in all his Gospel covers, even if I don't understand the lyrics I'm always moved , sometimes to tears . Dizzying emotions, goosebumps in almost every performance. Gabriel sings breathtakingly and enchants the lucky ones who listen to him !!! I feel so grateful for the Happiness he transmits to us and for the State of Grace that we feel when listening to him , thanks to this sublime gift he has received and which he spreads everywhere for the Best !!! Concordo! (I agree). That was absolutely beautiful and extraordinary. Gabriel is much more emotional when he sings gospel in his native language. I follow a Portugeuese reactor who understands everything Gabriel is singing. I'm not sure if Brazilians are fluent in regular Portugeuese though. Just so you know, a young teen named Jotta A from Brazil sang this first. He also sang Agnus Dei which Gabriel also covered and Gabriel blew Jotta A away. Jotta A was a good singer but had no whistle register, and later transitioned into a female. He got so much backlash in Brazil that he renounced Christianity. I don't believe he still lives there. But even with the sex change and the hormones he still does'nt sound like a woman. He does'nt really look like one either truth be told. Shoulda gone to Thailand to get the operation.
