Yeah, I used to get that for everything. And then I did less, and then they didn't think I would be capable of doing anything nice in general after having denied me any such chances - meaning, being afraid to ask for anything and noticing nothing of the many things I did do. Or being disappointed I didn't value them as much as they would've liked for things that I did just the same. *facepalms* Needless to say, it was just a bad match. I'm definitely a leo but when it comes to love I am the epitome of a virgo venus. its hard because i crave the things leos do in love like affirmation and affection but i approach love like a virgo. I'm very selective and SUPER observant, i'll for real notice your likes and dislikes and take mental notes for future reference. The part about not wanting to make the other person uncomfortable is sooo true for me too even though affection is secretly something I crave. The last guy I was with was superrrrr over the top with it even around our friends which I kinda liked because it kinda gave me the go ahead but regardless I still was never the one to initiate anything. aww you had me tearing up. That bit about "lowering your standards" cuz you're told you're too picky combined with being a helper has not led to a very fun dating life. I completely laughed at the wanting to fix things part. I now sometimes ask my close friends if they want my suggestion/help or they want to vent. The guy im in love with is a venus in virgo and leo sun, I'm a venus in Sagittarius and Capricorn sun and let me tell you, he is so so attentive to things i do and say. He remembers things I've forgotten from months ago and only really stares at me when I'm not looking, otherwise he looks away and doesn't really hold long eye contact much. Best Venus Virgo video I have ever seen, I loved this so much!! Scorpio Rising, Leo Sun, Aquarius Moon, Venus Virgo and Mars in Cancer, I have my hands full lol. I love that you mentioned intentional and selective which hits the nail on the head with Venus Virgo. I do have a check list for people, places, and things because I don't want to waste my time, deal with BS or waste someone else's time. I watch everyone and everything like a hawk and if my Scorpio BS detector doesn't go off, then my Virgo will. If both go off then it's a done deal. I watched this video to understand why my mom's and mine love languages differ so much and we keep hurting each other when tryhard to do something good. She is a Scorpio sun and Virgo venus and I am a Pisces sun and aquarius venus. I actually have a hard time to relate to the most things you said but that specific thing was very true: scorpio pushes pisces into the dark side and her allways wanting to instantly fix somebody instead of just listen empathetically keeps really freaking me out. I feel like she allways crosses my boundaries and NEVER shuts up. Whenever she "helps" I allways question her intentions due to our history of her trying to control me financially. Ah it's really complicated. And else, she is really messy at home but outside she really hates untidy people. However, she is emotionally super demanding and super cold/untouchy; that does not resonate with what you said.

Interesting contrast here. Words of affirmation is huge for me, and my partner's love language he communicates with me with is Acts of Service--so I always crave the verbal confirmation of his feelings, but when I stop to look at the little actions he does for me, I see that's his way of saying "I love you." I also feel natural to emote with Acts of Service though. Perhaps that's something I attracted as a Venus in Virgo as opposed to it being my love language? Again, very interesting video!

But I definitely find myself having to pay attention to “self-love” boundaries more heavily than most. I was the biggest helper when I was younger it was really bad though..just an empty bottle and I allowed people to just fill me up with whatever they saw in me and whatever they wanted from me. I have all of those same signs exactly LOL Libra sun Leo moon Aquarius rising and the Virgo venus, it has been like that for the most part: lacking identity wanting to gain like-ability thru being useful etc. I’ve seen this getting better as I’m aging and maturing (26 now) the lack of identity has allowed me to always be open to new people and things and find what I actually do identify with and the being helpful part has been taken advantage of by others for sure but for the most part I feel like because people can smell it on me they like me upon first meeting me and I connect easily but My backbone continues to grow and if I turn them down it’s graceful and still works out in the end without any arguments.
