@ryanahr22673 жыл бұрын
I've said this before and I'll say it again: this song is a peaceful summer evening translated into musical notes. I'm sitting in my bedroom as I type this with evening falling on a day in midspring. It was nice in the afternoon but it's now a bit too cool to have the windows open. Nonetheless, as I listened to this song for the umpteenth time, I felt a warm, lazy breeze float past me while fireflies bobbed around in it like boats on a lake. I am an old metal head and love all manner of loud, angry music but somehow, over 20 years later, this is just about the only song that can elicit a strong emotional reaction in me and draw out my most over the top prose when describing it.

This song. I was 14 years old and we went with a department of our school to the Ardennen in Belgium for a fieldtrip for a few days. On the last day we went to a small bar with a dancefloor on top of a hill. When this song came on, and especially at the 2.00 minute mark of the song everybody went crazy on the dancefloor. I wish we realized at that time how precious this moment would be; a moment in our life without worries, work, bills and stress..while we were young, careless, having fun and having the time of our lives. What a beautiful time to remember. Time flies people...

This is my first time listening to the original song. I was watching Kiss Me (Kill Me) and wanted to hear the original just to see how similar the two were. Still gave me shivers, I was waiting for the song to turn suddenly, but nothing.

It was 15 years or more when I lost my dad and 40 days later had my husband also very sick at the int. care. Endless nights in the car, returning from hospital, was listening to this melody, Crying silently and crossing the highways. This song was my courage to life and I made it. We made it and got a great family with kids and love and everything we asked for! Just kiss me and am strong!
@alexiabratsch78643 жыл бұрын
When I was 6 my grandpa picked me up from school and this song played in the car. He gave me a hard time and said ‘don’t you ever kiss boys! Don’t ever get married!’ I was so embarrassed but I always treasured my time with him. He died a little over a year later of cancer at the age of 47. I’m 26 now and when this song comes on the radio all the time I can’t help but cry with this memory. Every time I feel lonely and defeated I hear this song! He’s speaking to me and here I am a single mom, never married and the thought of any relationship now scares me. Crazy how certain things come full circle in our lives in weird, lyrical ways..
