I was 9, maybe 10 when this came out and I was visiting family in Mexico. I didn't have cable where I lived, but they did and I LOVED watching MTV. This song came out along with Jamicorauai and some others. All of which I hated backed then. But now at 31 I can really appreciate this simple, but humble song

My aunt grabbed the gun and stood in front of the door about 15 feet away waiting for him to bust it down and she would going to end his crap that night but for some reason he stopped and ran away like he could feel she had a gun or something. Cell phones ruined human interaction, and gave governments everywhere eyes and ears into everything. I feel so badly for the younger generations that have grown up knowing nothing but parallel lives in a sterile and sterile digital jungle, in constant subtle paranoia of reputation and recordings. Modern culture is so ugly and voyeuristic.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: this song is a peaceful summer evening translated into musical notes. I'm sitting in my bedroom as I type this with evening falling on a day in midspring. It was nice in the afternoon but it's now a bit too cool to have the windows open. Nonetheless, as I listened to this song for the umpteenth time, I felt a warm, lazy breeze float past me while fireflies bobbed around in it like boats on a lake. I am an old metal head and love all manner of loud, angry music but somehow, over 20 years later, this is just about the only song that can elicit a strong emotional reaction in me and draw out my most over the top prose when describing it.

I do the same thing. Geez, I miss the world we knew and took for granted. Everything we knew is gone. Regional department stores that were around for over 100 years gone, 27 airlines down to 6, traditions that were cherished gone. Worldwide governments have become more corrupt than could ever have imagined. Christian values our countries were founded on have been tossed. People dress like slobs and have no concern for their fellow man or national pride. Give them their phones, tablets and social media and they are happy. So sad.

This is my first time listening to the original song. I was watching Kiss Me (Kill Me) and wanted to hear the original just to see how similar the two were. Still gave me shivers, I was waiting for the song to turn suddenly, but nothing.

Yeah, it's spooky how despite the song being completely upbeat, it has a looming fear of turning dark after having watched Kiss me (Kill me). -Also here from watching that of course.
This song. I was 14 years old and we went with a department of our school to the Ardennen in Belgium for a fieldtrip for a few days. On the last day we went to a small bar with a dancefloor on top of a hill. When this song came on, and especially at the 2.00 minute mark of the song everybody went crazy on the dancefloor. I wish we realized at that time how precious this moment would be; a moment in our life without worries, work, bills and stress..while we were young, careless, having fun and having the time of our lives. What a beautiful time to remember. Time flies people...
