That Apoballis is gorgeous (Purple Sword is a common name). It's a wishlist plant for me. I saw it at a local nursery for $40 and it was half the size.

I have an Apoballis Lavallaei (purple sword) and LOVE it! Super easy care...I have mine living in medium light, I don't use humidifiers & average room humidity is 50%, & I water it once a week when it dries out. One of my favorite, no fuss plants! 🪴💕

I got mine from The Plant Chica in CA . It had to come to Charlotte,NC from LAX. He shipped on. Tuesday and arrived on Saturday morning, healthy and well packaged. Apobollis is usually fine with 60% humidity, it just doesn't like its soil to dry out.

I’d love to see a video about plants that tolerate drafts. I have a space in my bedroom that would be perfect for a plant shelf, but it’s near a vent and I don’t want to send any plants into shock being near it.

I recently got a ctenanthe burle-marxii and Hoya verticillata black margin, too. I love my two other Ctenanthe - my least fussy prayer plants. I’ve been looking everywhere for the Ctenanthe that looks like a stromanthe triostar (but isn’t stromanthe) and wish they were more common.

So awesome Nick, I have ordered from Gabriella plants a lot and the way they package is great. and when the soil is loose I don't care because the plant is always in great condition. I only have the Ctenanthe burle marxii, but I would love to get the Hoya because I am a fan of Hoya. I would also love the Apoballis acuminatissima "Lavallaei", it gives me prayer plant vibes as well. I feel like their prices are good, and I have always loved looking online at what they have available and then if I want to I order some. I am so jealous of that apobalis!! As mentioned in the last video, they seem to prefer humidity and are a bit thirsty. Yours might do well in open air, but I got mine as a plug which I keep under a glass bell jar. It was suggested they can live in low light, but I dont chance it. I treat mine like a basic aroid which seems to work, once i realized it wanted that humidity. Please, do a video about this one after a few months! Nobody on YT has anything significant to say about its growth and care. I too would also like to know more about it!

I’ve grown 2 plugs since the end of January and they’ve been super easy for me. I grow them in open air (60% humidity) and agree that they’re on the thirsty side. But I’ve never had a leaf crisp or yellow. It’ll droop a bit when thirsty and perks back up immediately when watered. And it’s always growing. Even in the lower light areas of my home (they are quite positive phototropic though and might appreciate more light). 10/10 plant

That box definitely got thrown about, like A LOT. I've bought from Gabriella a bunch of times and mine do sometimes have a little soil come out of the pot but never to this extent. My favorite thing about Gabriella is that the quality of their plants is unmatched. I actually stopped following them on IG because every time they posted something I would run to the store to get it s😢😢 my wallet can't handle this

Nice. I just received and opened my Gabriella Plants order... I was sooooo extremely underwhelmed! I think I got a lil depressed, just put em away in a corner and came to lay in bed. Seriously.. my variegated neon pothos is two tiny cuttings that look like a sun bleached golden pothos and I to think I paid $36 for that! Legit wanna throw up.

I'm glad you had a great experience with G.P. , unfortunately I ordered from them twice, both orders were soaking wet, stems & roots were mush each time, all but a few leaves yellow. Both times the box was in perfect condition, yet the owner tried to blame an angry postal service worker for sabotaging my package because of a unknown personal vendetta 😂 at least they refunded both times.

Even if the post office was doing that, there was no reason for the plants to be soaking wet and rotting. No biggie I guess, you sent refunds, I got to be disappointed twice, and have to rush out to shop locally for different plants( the orders were going to be gifts) .

The plants are gorgeous, but I'm grossed out by any company still using styrofoam. There are so many better earth-friendly options. Do better for our planet, especially plant purveyors!
