I have always been artistic since a young age and have gone from painting childrens Murals to Water Colours but, have never managed to find that 'one thing' that truly makes me happy. I just finished my first mix media project. I decorated a sketch book cover as a gift. if it wasn't for your videos I wouldn't even know what mixed media was. I absolutely love it! you've definitely inspired me into continuing in this hobby. I got asked to make one for a other friend! I hope I'll be as good as you are some day.

This is a beautiful piece Gabi! It is as if one's spirit is drawn into the act of creation as it unfolds before one's eyes. Clearly your unique style. I also noticed that your hands never seem to be sticky, and you never leave fingerprints or stains on your work - because you constantly wipe your hands during the process. I would certainly be interested in visiting your etsy shop when you re-open it. Hope your health improves.

I absolutely love your work, you make it look so easy. If I do something it takes me forever to get to a point that I think it looks OK, but never really satisfied with the end result. I adore all the cardboard cut outs you use, unfortunately I can't get them here in South Africa - or I don't know where to look for it, and the spray able shimmer paints you use. Debbie, sometimes you can get a similar effect using just one or two key pieces like the scroll frame and then adding in everyday finds like bottle caps, buttons, broken bits (I've used broken bits of trim from sunglasses on past projects), hardware pieces, drywall tape, paper clips etc. to fill in. co
