The story tells of a gypsy woman's desire to marry a man of her choice, and to achieve this, she invokes the moon, offering her the first child she has with him in exchange. The Moon, personified as a female entity longing to be a mother, accepts the deal. The child is born, but his appearance is unusual: he is albino, with white skin and gray eyes, which leads the father to believe that he has been deceived, since he does not look like a gypsy. In an act of anger and dishonor, he kills his wife and abandons the child in the mountains. The song concludes with a poetic image of the moon caring for the child, where its waning phase is associated with maternal consolation for the infant's crying. That's the story behind the song 😊
