Hi, indie game creator here. As someone who has made two and is in the development stage of making a third game all by myself, I can’t see any reason why Luni allowed this to happen. I don’t want to diss the guy because I know from personal experience that making games is extremely hard. But he has such bad managing skills, and as PochiTrix said himself right now gacha club and GL2 look and feel like they were made by a child with no experience instead of a well known developer. Get your shit together Luni because your making us indie developers look bad dude…

Gacha Life 2 is no better though. I notice a few bits of the game slightly unpolished and bugged. - outlines not aligned with the asset - arms not aligning with the sleeves when a character is posing - sometimes the adjustments feature move the eyes when a different asset is adjusted Lunime should always update the games not only to add content, but also remove the bugs and polish the graphics of the games.

Another bug I noticed is when you go to change an asset without pressing x and just go to another page, it changes another asset to another

Being an IOS user sucks, I’m always worrying about my OCs not saving after I make them or not being able to export any codes when I need to for projects 😭 I hope Wonderend gets complete soon so he can come back to the GL2 and GC 😭

As an iOS user I now use gl2 more than gacha club but I’ve found a way to save your oc’s from getting deleted on gacha club though it is sad I have to do this 1: make an oc 2: go to settings then click return to title and go back into the main menu 3:(this is just for safe measure) do this 3 more times to make sure it saves Final: close gacha club then go back then boom! Your oc you made saved! (This may not work for everyone so I’m sorry if it doesn’t)

You could also copy and paste the offline/online oc code into your notes app and then paste the code back into gacha club :)

For me after making OCs or videos in Gacha Club, I play a minigame and once if finishes, I exit the game and everything’s back to normal

I Do Feel Disappointment In Luni For How Poorly He Maintains His Games. Everything You Have Said Is 100% True. Perhaps If Luni Were To Better Take Care Of His Games And Always Have A Backup File And Or Backup Plan For His Games, Then Things Could Be Different. But This Is What We Got. And As An IOS User Who’ve Played Gacha Club Upon Its Release, I Can Say That I Am Greatly Disappointed By This News. I Was Wholeheartedly Looking Forward To Playing Gacha Club Again, But I Cannot. And The Only Way I Could Is By A PC Or By An Android. I Do Not Hate Luni, But I No Longer Like Him. Still, I Hope That He Will Better Handle His Priorities.

As an iOS user this is really annoying. I have a voice acted series and gl2 is really hard for me because I have to make all the poses but in Gacha club it’s easy I’m able to make custom poses in Gacha club which has always been easy for me. But with gl2 it takes almost 7 months to make one episode and I don’t want to just switch to Gacha life although that’s the only other Gacha game that works for me. I’ve also tried mods to see if that fixes my Gacha club but I can’t even install them because once I do the game stays the same. And the only time the game works properly is when I’m messing around in it and then click on a preset, I think that if I refresh it it will go back to my character but them whoops it stays as the preset. I’m happy that this problem as been addressed.

Same! You just reset the game a few times and go to the entrance screen a few times! Then close the app and your things should be saved, I only use Gacha Club so I’ve had a few difficulties with it deleting my characters. If they got deleted already just get the game back and make them two at a time then do what I said above and close the app. It should save and if it doesn’t idk what to tell you because it works for me.

Yep, since like 5 months ago I completely stopped using gacha club, the saving system is literally trashed and sometimes I can’t even get in the game even when I have iOS 16. Rip my Genshin content + ocs.

As a creator of GCRV’s its pretty hard these days to make one ;/ Once I already made 1/4 of the video and all the adjustments were reseted. And you cant copy paste the offline code of the oc so like it or not the only option is too use gl2 which is alot more harder to make it

I agree that’s it’s annoying that the fact the other gacha apps just break entirely after about a few years, my gacha life does not let me do anything, and gacha club deletes any new characters I make or changes the character back to its og self if I edit And I have a question for everyone here, has your GL2 suddenly glitch and not let you do anything? I swear though, after that update which in my opinion wasn’t necessary at all. Gacha club just broke completely. I’m kinda ashamed of luni right now. Like why did he allow it to happen? As an IOS User, Gacha Club is broken for me, as well as like half the IOS population. I have used GL2 more often since I like the light theme more but I’m thinking of using Gacha Club more often since it’s faster to make videos. However, I too suffer the same problem of my oc’s being deleted, so here’s a way to save them! 1. Edit or make your oc. 2. Switch to another character you have. Preferably a character you don’t care about or a random preset you have if you’re paranoid that one of your other characters will get deleted while trying to save another one. 3. Go to presets and press a random one. 4. Exit Gacha Club and “reset” it. 5. Go back to Gacha Club after resetting 6. And there! You have your oc saved!

I heard the news already and it’s so disappointing for IOS users ( I’m an IOS user myself ) GC is completely broken I don’t know why Luni and his team didn’t try to fix GC issues sooner when bugs we’re reported, I understand why the GachaTubers tab had to be removed but I think ignoring it was a more *SAFER* option since everyone knows that big Gachatubers get themselves cancelled and by removing GachaTubers it completely broke the game and it seems that trying to fix it made it worse than it already is. I was gonna use GL2 but it seems that it’s no better then GC and has more bugs. Such as, OCs duplicating or deleting whenever the app is closed. App freezing randomly. Eyes moving whenever your adjusting parts on your character. ( Sometimes the right eye doesn’t follow the same adjustments as the left, I don’t think that was intentional ) But overall GC is probably never going to be used again by lots of people in the community. As for GL2, let’s hope Luni goes back to the game and actually gives players the update they’ve been waiting for.

I made so many ocs there just to come back to them gone. They had so much detail and i made like 5-6… i had an actual mental breakdown after seeing all my hard work (3-4 days work of making ocs) get thrown away. I was crying because those ocs meant a lot to me. Guess i’ll remake them in gacha life 2 instead.

I was gonna update it on my video device where I make my videos on and my mobile but after hearing about people saying don’t do it I tried to avoid it but it updated on my mobile so now the iPad I’m currently on is the only device I have with a working Gacha Club, and I would use GL2 instead but I can’t import or export poses thanks to the GL2 update I have to use export instead of offline import so I lost characters on GL2 and had to start from scratch as GL2 has a similar saving issue (in my opinion from what I’ve had problems with it) so- yeah basically both of them are technically buggy (kinda)

i just wanna say something just because gacha club is broken and gl2 didn't get updates a while DOES YOU MEAN YOU HAVE ALL THE RIGHTS TO SHIT ON LUNI I've already seen people on discord planning riots and boycotts just because their precious gc/gl2 wasn't updated for a while. well gc no longer will. if you don't like it, don't play it. nobody is forcing you. and if you don't like luni, just don't play his games instead of crying on the internet like a chils "waaaaa luni always abandons his games waaaaaa he's an awful developer and deserves to go bankrupt and lose all his auditiory, family, fiends and even life waaaaa" listen, i have a solid experience with programming. i went to similar shit luni did. and even though i agree with some of the statements like luni not being good at managing his time and files. this doesn't mean that gc/gl2 are on a level of an inexperienced child. Coding a game is not fun and games and naturally ALL THE GAMES HAVE BUGS, MILD OF SEVERE. and moreover GL2 WILL AND I REPEAT WILL AND I ONCE AGAIN REPEAT WILL BE UPDATED. He's currently working on wonderend 0 which is about to be released, and as much as you guys (and me) wanted this to happen after gl2 is complete, wonderend community waited for this moment MORE THAN 5 YEARS. this is not targeted towards anyone and i respect everyone's opinions, i just wanted to finally open my mouth cause I've seen multiple people attacking, harassing and even sending threads to luni because of those. honestly, those people need to grow up.

People don't understand this but Luni works on his games by himself, Charlotte works on updating the old games so they don't get removed but People be like "Luni has wirked as a game dev for years he should know what to do" Luni is not a professional at making game and he used to just make thoses cheap dating sims for teenagers but he changed and started to make dress up games and it was a whole different thing for him but guess what?
