Gacha Magical Girl Openings in a Nutshell

Inspired by Crystal Cupcake Unicorn
Tips to make a GOOD Gacha Magical Girl Series:
1.At least make the premise ORIGINAL. Don’t make it just about shimmer, rainbows, and sparkles. Try to add in an original theme like mermaids, fairies, animals, music, constellations, etc.
2.Don’t just have all the members of your team have the same outfit. Just add in some originality, and make the outfits have differences rather than just the colors and hairstyles.
3.Make good surnames for your team, like Witch, Sorceress, Warrior, Empress, Guardian, etc.
4.Have your leader represent a different color rather than just pink, like green, violet, indigo, red, blue, etc.
5.Give the superpowers ORIGINALITY. There are just too many series with pink being love, yellow being light, orange/red being fire, blue being water, and green being nature. You can make pink represent fire, blue represent ice, and orange representing light.
6.Don’t just add too many Halloween-esque things on your villains. I’ve seen lots of series with these types of things, and it just really annoys me. I’m only fine with magical girl series villains as long as they have an original theme.
7.If you’re gonna add a mascot, make it something other than just a unicorn. Make it an axolotl, bunny, bear, penguin, or something like the species I just mentioned.
8.Make a good, original title. Don’t just call it, “Crystal Sparkle PreCure”, “Magical Rainbow Girls”, or something like the stuff I just mentioned.
*Please do not take this seriously. This is just a satire of gacha magical girl openings.

Not that I disagree with the video, but I do think it’s worth noting that a majority of Gacha magical girl shows are made by kids, therefore it should be expected that the quality isn’t gonna be so high. Not that the kids shouldn’t be receiving criticism, but it’s important to know the background behind the videos. Speaking of criticism, my advice is to not include your feelings when giving tips on improvement. I noticed that in the description you used language like “this annoys me” which automatically makes the criticism more about you and ends up sounding like a command rather than a helpful tip. Make your advice sound welcoming, not demanding. But that’s my two cents. I’m not making this comment to start drama or anything, and you don’t have to listen to me, but I just wanted to point some things out.

Everyone knows the rules of making a magical girl anime’s -it has to have a name similar to “rainbow power sparkle crystal glitter cute girls” -the main character has to be female -the main character has to run with toast in her mouth in the first episode all the time -if you’re losing a fight, start screaming. -the shy one is always an artist -the eyes have to be litteraly ginormous -the villains all have to hate eachother -you must hold your hand to your heart in order to transform -the pink one has to have love powers

Ayo. This side of the gacha community is probably the healthiest, and safest side of the community. So people should not offend these Precure gacha makers because they could go make some old fashioned rElAtAbLe and rOmAnTiC movies, it's overused and unhealthy. So please if some people get offended easily, don't show them to any other side of the community, they are overused and super boring. Tbh, EVERYONE should be doing this! I have a magical girl series that is way better than this. I will go with each fact by the tips you listed 1. The theme is desserts and flavors 2. The girls outfits are inspired by what dessert they are based on (ex. The boba tea one has her skirt, gloves, boots, and socks decorated with boba pearls) 3. The surename is Cure since it's a fanmade Pretty Cure series, but there is still more originality. 4. The leader is green because her flavor motif is honeydew melon 5. As said before, the theme is desserts and flavors. The green one is honeydew melon boba tea, the purple one is taro donuts, the orange one is peach cheesecake, the pink one is strawberry chiffon cake, the red one is watermelon sherbet, the blue one is blueberry muffin, and the yellow one is banana cheese fondue. 6. The villains are based on the concept of the absence of taste and flavors 7. The mascots are miniature, alternate universe versions of several cartoon characters. The green one is a chibi Zim from Invader Zim, the purple one is Baku from Sanrio, the orange one is Netaro from Sobakasu Pucchi, the pink one is Daggett from Angry Beavers, the red one is Nyarome from Moretsu Ataro, the blue one is Litter Critter from Blaze and the Monster Machines, and the yellow one is Warehouse Mouse from the imagination movers. They all have different designs to look like the desserts they represent, for example, Zim's antennae have boba pearls at the ends, and also has a tail with a boba at the end as well.

I've made a Magical Group before and I'm still working on it bc I'm deciding on the plot but I have started writing it. Basically, it's about this insecure 16 year old boy (protagonist) who finds friends at his new school. Then they go into this field trip, find the relics of the ancient past, become heroes and so on. (Th it's kinda lame TBH) Theme: Relics - Basically Ancient History. (No I won't publish it I might when I'm older but not now)

My show that...still has like half of the MGs (MG = Magical Girl) left to be make in Gacha Life 2 (hopefully this is at least kind of original...): Pink is still kind of the happy go lucky never give up protag except she...keeps her ideas to herself...most of the time, and she's more sweet since I'm...assuming...that this is original (I suck at this ;-;) (Edit: and she's also probably on the verge of losing her sh**-), orange/red is a jerk (but I'm gonna...try and make a good redemption arc for her that people will actually like-), yellow is not at all shy, she's...pretty optimistic (holy sh**-), green is more like...elegant(?), idk how I'm gonna try to explain blue without getting this comment taken down, and purple is one of the main antagonists who also gets a chance to be redeemed because pink thinks that (almost) everyone deserves a second chance. please tell me this is original, i tried to make magical girl series in the past before and I ended up scrapping them, I'm not good at this kind of stuff, any and all criticism on this is needed, please and thank you. ;-;

And purple being redeemed ive seen before but it doesnt need to be original to be good. As someone who has a lot of scrapped magical girl ideas and is too lazy to make vids, I can totally see your perspective. My first idea for a gacha magical girl series was Gemstone Princesses, But that idea was scrapped because it felt like a ripoff of Steven universe. Then it was Dreamy girls, but the outfits and powers didn’t make sense. Then Candy Pop Girls, but that didn’t make sense either. Then Shimmer Girls, but that was a dumb idea. I’m working on a new series called Pixie Cadets, but now I’m changing the plot and characters because of your perspective in this video. Edit: I'm now making a magical girl series called Pastel Spirits of Light, and the theme revolves around pastel colors and sweet flower scents like the ones that come from soap. Also, I make pink represent flowers, blue represent wind and water, green represent ice and snow, and orange represent sunlight.
