The game is pretty cool so far, I can recommend it to everyone that likes strategising a lot (it’s very important) and that also enjoys collecting characters and making your teams stronger :) The story is okay, but not amazing (at least until chapter 1, idk if it gets better). The world is very beautiful and fun to explore and there are also many cool gamemodes you can try out :D It’s better played as a side game tho! I’m not sure for how long I’m going to play it, but at least for now it remains entertaining

I feel like the story doesn’t have any “wow” / iconic moments. It’s odd. It needs that. Like raiden titty sword or even firefly in hsr. It needs more oomph as far as story goes. Everything else is surprisingly good. Actually need to think to.

I want a Wilder team so bad... but here I am with my 500th Viperian... /sigh, starting to think other "purple" units simply don't exist... I have a very small roster for how many times I've pulled (totally f2p atm, haven't spent, just like with most gachas, it's very generous at first). Game is pretty fun so far, but I have a huge issue with the Tactical Exercises... I'm still missing something with the combat for sure. And I've never played any AFK game before. But this vid did help, I have pretty much the same team you showcased.

Today I learned Ascension Tiers > Pulling for more characters. Getting duplicates for existing units is more worth than pulling new ones. That being said, even if Valen isnt the best, i already got him to legendary. Yay :D

The team that got me so far in the game was Lucius as tank/healer, rowan as support, smokey as healer/support, cecia as dps/crowd control and dionel as dps.

@@tekarthobbyist9598 I actually haven't played afk arena. It was just funny that while playing, I haven't noticed the that there is a faction synergy as what the video tell. With this team I was able to clear a lot of battles with different battle modes.

I was lucky in the beginning of the game to get a lot of dups for Hewynn, Brutus, Viperian, Cecia and Mirael which made for a pretty solid team for the first chapter, and I managed to get Odie and I discovered how effective he was. I really love this game, the Character designs and the overall game itself has a great mix of everything. Storyline is important for me so the solid story and game History is really enjoyable for me.

The gacha system is pretty generous tho Around 2% drop for highest rarity epic characters. Ability to choose and exclude units in the banners to increase your chances and avoid copies.

It's not really p2w tho so I don't see how the gacha would ruin it lol. I've gotten multiple characters before pity because it's only a 5% for s level heroes. Not like hsr with the .6% at 90 guaranteed pity

@@AkashRaj-1369 it starts like this how it started with afk arena. afk arena was more generous when it comes to drops (still is) but they released the more expensive units like the awakened heroes, and celestial and hypogeans (the expensive factions) became more relevant + they released artifacts, furniture, engravings.. etc.. which while accessible, they are not really f2p friendly. ofc, as a f2p player myself, I don't mind at all if they added these in afk journey since I liked building my characters (but when it comes to gears, afk journey is definitely friendlier than afk arena)

I played AFK Arena a few years ago and had a lot of characters going, initially started because of the awesome character designs and variety (all sizes and ages instead of the same beauty standard - I mean look at Granny) and the fact I could play this here and there during the day on my phone. They had a lot of events so there was always something to do and it kept me playing a few months until I got bored. At some point the content got more and more difficult so I had to ascend my units to legendary status to even be able to proceed. Maybe I am not remembering it correctly, but either way I stopped due to difficulty and repeating content. Now seeing this 3d version kinda scratches the part of my brain that enjoys character designs and wants to collect them lol But I will not play any gacha anymore, I still like to watch to keep me updated tho. UwU

not gonna lie, lucius is quite weaker here, although if you got him earlier than thoran, just prioritize lucius as he can still be an allrounder, tank and support in later levels...also i think the other graveborn tank hero is also good, as he an self heal...i do miss shemira as she was the OG go to in afk arena especially earlygame
