The 10th anniversary live video has a couple of songs with dual acoustic drums (Next Stage & Tamashii): yuri plays the set featured here, and Hana performs on her enhanced North drum kit (with 4 cannon toms!). Those performances got me hooked onto Gacharic Spin.

Hehe, nicely done. I'm glad you featured the lyrics because they're what got me into the song. I love it musically too now, even though it's well outside what I'd normally listen to. The other Gacharic Spin release from that week, The Come Up Chapter, might be my favourite song of theirs. This album's going to be something special.

OMG, the energy of these ladies in this video and usually they double or even triple it live. And Koga, Hana, Oreo and Tomo-Zo are about 35, not youngsters. Yuri is older than she looks, 28 and their "baby" Angie is 21. Very well done ladies.

@@WavePotter because you mentioned the Band-Maid added show's that included Portland Oregon 10 miles from me, I was able to secure some cheap tickets fir the show, and without you mentioning it I would have never been able to cross off probably my only bucket list item, maybe if I can endure a concert again since its been way over 20 years, maybe Gacharic Spin will go on another list, thank you so much Wave and of course the rest of the Gaijin guy's for letting my music obsession become a reality, p.s. take really good care of Rosie, from one retired multi instrumentalist to another, peace!

Great reaction. But don't take lyrics too seriously. Even for native Japanese, this lyrics are extremely ridiculous and taking meaning is almost impossible with full of playing with word sounds.

Awesome, Thank you 🙏 Great job with the music, kudos to even having a Hana shirt (where can I get that?!), and especially glad you highlighted looking up the lyrics’ background. There’re really mashed up, a lil much?!, with messages to not overdo SNS (common Angie theme), to not be a creepy boss (getting pervy with employees over drinks after work is a problem that’s generally been well highlighted, in japan, in cities, & beyond…), and the Tanuki (KachiKachi version), Momotarou, Kintarou, & Issun Boshi (& who knows what else I’ve missed) characters are from various folk and fairy tales, which in turn have each been retold with varying accuracy (she does ask, who even knows what really happened?!) In the center of Angie’s story, her groping boss is named Tanuki (probably the more normal reference to the steady drunk Tanuki displayed at every shop and on my mantle), and she feels bad for condemning the whole man for just some aspects of how he treats her, thus pointing out that demons have feelings too, as well as the way adversaries can strengthen us. Great stuff, and what a chorus at the center of it all! 🤘🎸💃😎

Look forward to that lyric video! A lot of Hana’s lyrics are worth reading too. With her main theme being never give up (now a staple, BabyMetal, Nemophila, even BandMaid, tons more), but she is sooo punny (well, BabyMetal too, BandMaid a bit), and sometimes the sarcastic humor is hilarious too (I love the music battler era, CommonSense Destroyer, DreamEating Shark, even MusicBattler and SekiraLiar)… I often yell at the tv rather than type out my essays. Your repost of livestream reaction to LockOn recently… so much to comment on! Their dancing, their first song (by Koga, basically the blueprint for the band), Hana doing Armmy (usually Oreo tried to fill those shoes, at least character-wise as they split her vocals)… Here’s a Lock On live compilation that progresses thru about 5-6 different DVDs/lineups kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXa5iWOmgJyIrLs And, well done, cool shirt, I’ll check it out!
