The crossing they filmed (Shibuya Scramble Crossing) is one of the busiest intersections in the world because it is right next to one of the busiest train stations in the world (Shibuya Station) which, according to wikipedia, got 2.4 million passengers per weekday in 2004 (to give an idea on how busy it is). The crossing also has been used a lot in all kinds of media, from anime to video games, books and whatnot which made it pretty recognizable for me even though I have never been there. This also means that they are somewhat used to it being used for music videos and things like that, but I still wouldn't lie down in the street with all those people crossing. You can find some more info since it has it's own wiki page as well. They actually released a bunch of shorts of the behind the scenes when filming on the crossing. I read from someone they had 50 seconds before the lights turn green for the cars, so they had to go on and off the crossing to film this. You might be able to close it off for a short amount of time if you are a major movie, but I don't think that crossing gets closed off often (except on Halloween because of the amount of people that go there to party).

The song arrangement is quite interesting. The abrupt end of the build up at the songs finish was perfect. The intersection is Shibuya Crossing, often described as the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world. Most probably they videoed during each pedestrian crossing cycle. Closing off that intersection for the purpose of making the music video is not an option !

It's their ode to the saying "march to the beat of your own drum". Always walk in your own light and to the beat of your own drum. I think using Shibuya Crossing as the center piece was brilliant. Every person crossing was walking to their own beat. Thanks again! Always great insight. Cheers!

Thanks guys really enjoyed the discussion of the music, the video, and particularly the lyrics. By the way, the band have some "shorts" on their channel showing some of the shooting of the vid (at Shibuya scramble - busiest intersection in tokyo!) and its very much unofficial! :)

The masters of masters of controlled chaos. :) Yep, even though the song is actually quite different, I also immediately had the vibe of 'Mindset' in my head. 🤷🏻‍♂🤭 I like the earlier 'incarnations' of GS, but this one has something special for me. And it certainly has a lot to do with Angie, but also Yuri and the related move from Hana to the guitar. Asaf, the major intersections in Tokyo are stopped in all directions for the pedestrians to cross to where they want to go. Ref. Japan Explorer. The Japanese will not cross the street even if there no cars to be seen. They will wait for the light to change, then cross the street.

Word is out that Saki will be appearing with Gacharic Spin soon. Can't wait to see Tomo Oz and Saki on stage together. You do know Saki has left Nemophila because she doesn't like the direction Nemophila is taking.

I also don't like the direction Nemophila is going. They now look on their images like a TV castet Idol-Group. I understand, that's not Saki's way. But another guitarrist to Tomo-zo and Hana - that's to much Guitarres, I guess. May be fine for a show or a tour, but I'm not sure that it will make GS better.
