They have NO leverage. Answer its most definitely fake. Think about it the thing was sent to a literal nobody who only about a month ago started making content on WW which Tectone has been glazing I'm. Has completely glazing Tectone and his girlfriend on Twitter who then went and shared it with Tectones circle, he and Tectone tried using Gateoo as proof of the contract only for him to completely deny everything they said he did, it's suspicious that different people got different contracts from each other, the whole 3 months, quit any time and no fees just sounds like they thought no one would believe it if it was to bad so they added those in, and as you just pointed out and someone on Twitter did as well there are suspicious spaces and is quite short for a contract belonging to a billion dollar company especially compared to a tenant lease. Personally I totally believe what’s being covered with the contract is authentic. However this whole thing had a stupid premise for discussion to begin with. People need to realize the only content creators who want to maximize their gains from a sponsorship contract with a company for promoting their content are people who need this contract to begin with. Content creators sour relationships with game companies all the time as long as success from either party creates a power imbalance, aka if the game gets huge so they no longer need as much PR or the creator gets huge so the income from their partnership becomes tip of the iceberg. The opposing party simply loses power of negotiation. In basic terms, Hoyoverse is handing out an olive branch to growing content creators who are in need of these type of contracts to supplement their income and use the game’s notoriety to foster channel growth. If you’re too big to give a fuck, then don’t fuss over the terms and clauses, don’t sign it, play and stream the game and feel free to be as negative as you want, world is your oyster. You still make money on your own channel which is where the predominant source of revenue should be for content creators anyway. Yes it’s synonymous to giving a high school student a minimum wage summer job but in his current situation he gets money and experience compared to sitting on his ass through the summer and the company gets cheap labour, symbiotic relationship at its best, except in this case instead of giving the guy money for flipping burgers 8-5 he’s also offered tips on top if he tells customers to leave a 5* yelp review. At the end of the day this shit is as irrelevant and mundane as it gets, there is no such thing as a KZbinr union so none of what is being done on the internet will ever achieve any practical results, plus take it up in the court of law, a streamer can never prove beyond a reasonable doubt a tangible/quantifiable contribution to a company’s revenue by saying “Damn that E6 Robin is looking mighty fine dipped in Mama Lizzy’s chilly oil”. Just a bunch of streamers farming drama with a straw-man, so you know, never take this shit seriously, watch it like trash TV content just like Maury season 6.
