How do you identify such homestays? Is there any website that u look at? The homestays you select are amazing

Just zoom into Google maps In that area and then type homestay.....a lot of them will appear especially in Ladakh. Choose according to reviews. Now a days every second house in Ladakh is a homestay so it's quite easy to find one there.

We are planning to do Kargil > Khalsi > Alchi > Kargil . And leave for Padum the next day. Then proceed from Padum to Leh. This in the month of june. Is it a good idea ? Any other suggestions sir ?

You can do the Kargil Khalsi Alchi route in any car anytime. Going to Padum in June could be a problem as because of monsoon you will have to cross many water crossings. If you have a suv it will be ok but driving to Padum in a car with low ground clearance will be a challenge.

Happy Diwali to you too brother🙏 Actually Lamayuru was not on my list and I was going to drive straight to Leh but because of difficult roads from Padum I halted here. And driving in my own car gives me the liberty to choose hotels of my own freewill. I just drive through the place and walk-in to the best looking property if it suits my budget.
