Every time the MMDA catch that driver, he's using a different name. They still don't know his true identity. That driver has been caught multiple times and the truck has been Impounded multiple times. LTO say the drivers license he showed is fake. It's only a matter of time before that truck kills someone on EDSA.

Presenting a fake identification to a law enforcement officer should hold prison time. Period. Nobody cares if you don't know if it's fake. Ignorance is not an excuse. People knowingly going out to get drivers licenses through a representative(fixer), or outside of getting them from the LTO offices cannot be used as an excuse to not know if your license is fake.

I doubt it'll make a difference. The price to claim it from the impound lot is insignificant compared to how much they make. The penalties should be multiplicative on subsequent impounding. 5x the penalty on 2nd impounding. On the third make it, 40% of the value of the vehicle.

Saw 3 big orange dump trucks earlier today and this one looks to be the same as the one I encountered. I was wondering why they were driving along Tayuman Street in Manila when Tayuman is not a truck route. Also, I don't understand why the law only allows the impounding of the vehicles of these repeat violators. Why not apply to have the business permits of these trucking companies revoked? They will never learn and will never be afraid to take their chances because the penalty is really negligible for them, now if the penalty is as severe as the revocation of their business permits then they will definitely toe the line and fire these erring drivers
