Buddy you actually entered in the Custom OS screen, this happend because in 2nd step you pressed all Volume UP+DOWN+POWER Together insteead of only Volume UP+Power. step 1. Volume UP+DOWN+POWER Together Step 2. Once the device gets shutdown release all buttons, then Press and hold Volume UP + Power Button Only and once device switch ON release all buttons. Hope this helps.

How can you do it without a laptop? I dont have one. My daughters locked out of her phone as shes forgotten her pattern. Cant get back into it. For some reason when she turns it off she has to enter the psttern so we couldnt even switch it off but i figured that out. Just cant do the rest of the steps
