@@cryezen I've been using for disc and playing wow, listening to music as well. They are overall very balanced headphones, not overly bass heavy (which can be good or bad, you still feel the thunk, but I have a pair of Sony's that really shake the head), voice chatting is crystal clear, and for the price, no complaints. The ear cups are made of mesh with some foam, not my favorite material but it's very comfy still. Wish the headset gripped my head a bit tighter but not a deal breaker

Love how in depth your reviews are, it really helps. Would you reccomend the Arctis Prime or the Nova 3 for a mix of competitive gaming/listening to music? I know steelseries has a reputation for high treble, I just don't want the headset to be overwhelmingly high treble.

@@nuqr1754 I never even tried base settings. The reason to buy these is the ability to save eq's onto the headset imo. Honestly I only play cod for competitive games nowadays. Which nothing is really good for without heavy tuning. Even my high end headphone setups with a dac/amp and sennheiser headphones or even my audio Technica ad700 are bad for footstep audio in cod and that's what they are known to be good for lol. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I don't play r6. Have run a little bit of battlefield with these tho and they did work well for footstep audio.

Hi man! on this video @15:30 you mentioned how the engine and sonar can overlap; to my understanding only the engine tune saves up in the headset and transfer to console right?, however I realized that the mic on my nova 7x is way to sensitive so I went and tuned it in sonar and the mic settings do carry on to console, but I'm not sure if it's just the mic settings that carry on or if the other sonar settings carry as well, have you notice this? bare in mind that I have 3 days with my headset so I just updated it its firmware, I don't know if this is something new they added it or if it has always been there. I'm not sure if this is a bug with the software but I get the yellow banner telling me to set sonar to default and when I click it it does set it to default sound settings but it doesn't remove the yellow banner. Also when I open just the app itself it doesn't register the mic meaning the bar doesn't bounce up and down unless I open up let's say sound settings in the background then it will register as a speak or make noise. Not sure if you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

hi, is sidetone better than Nova Pro series? I need good sidetone for my headset and i realy like Steelseries headsets and Sonar software. But sidetone on my Nova Pro wireless is just bad(quiet, i have read that it is due firmware update because it was causing problems with ANC, and that is also on wired version Nova Pro). So my question is: is sidetone on wired Arctis Nova 3, better? louder? thank you

I tried the Nova 1 and found the input audio to have A LOT of white noise and it picked up mouse clicks even at low volume. Does the Nova 3 do a better job at noise reduction?

I have Steelseries Arctics Nova 3, for some reason my microphone doesn't work together with audio, if I play the audio, my microphone suddenly turns off so then I try to unplug and plug the cable then microphone is back but audio stops working. Any idea if there is any solution? Because of that stupid issue i have to use old headset for microphone. I have updated SteelseriesGG and firmware is updated to latest. My OS is Windows 11 Pro 2H22 and everything is updated.

Bought the Nova 3 aaand returned them 4 hours later. They sound bad. My old soundblaster headsed has died on me and so I decided to switch up and picked up those but i think the soudblaster headphones spoiled me as the minute I put those one I had a feeling that I'm listening everything through a wall. The lows were barely noticable, the mids were avreage and the highs well they were ok. The only thing this headset did better was the voices, they were clear and crisp. So despite faffing for ca 2h in the sonar to even get the headset to sound passable I just gave up and re-bought another pair of soundblaster headphones.

Prime has a more "crispy sound" and overall sounds better and more detailed than the Nova 1. The Nova 1 has a better mic though.

great revieqw. i want to try to get some help from this comment section cause steelseries doesnt answer me. when i activate sonar, in discord i would have theorically put "sonar chat mode" as exit in discord settings, but when i do it i cant hear discord voicechat. otherwhise if i put any other mode on discord sound exit, i can hear voicechat BUT i cant mute my mates, i mute all the rest of the master sound except discord voice comm. Anyone had the same problem?
