Nice a review. Now please the Roland Bridge Cast one 🙌 All processing is done on the device itself, that's why it's very interesting.

Hercules? As in the Hercules that made my 3D Prophet 4500? That's a name I haven't heard in a couple decades, had no idea they were still making stuff!

Hey Joe, do you make a dedicated Gaming AMP/DAC video for the holiday season? I am struggling to find one as there seem to be only one for around $200 or $1.000 and nothing in between?!
@BKMorpheusАй бұрын
Sadly the Stream 200 XLR does not support adjusting volume per App directly (as the Stream 100 does), as far as I know. I would need to route my programs into those Hercules virtual sound devices to be able to adjust them on the Stream 200, whereas the Stream 100 can adjust the volume of apps directly (like a hardware version of the default windows volume mixer). I'm not a streamer but the price/performance of both the Stream 100 and the Stream 200 XLR is very good and I would have replaced my Yamaha AG03 XLR interface with the Stream 200, if it could control app volumes directly (I know, routing the apps into those virtual audio devices is not a big deal). That's why I went with the cheaper Stream 100 and kept my Yamaha AG03. Maybe Hercules will update there software in the future to add that function (which again, the Stream 100 is doing exactly that). It's nice, that Hercules includes the extra pre-amp for dynamic mics (for comparison a Triton FetHead is ~65€ over here).

It is so stupid. And you can choose ur audio output (for example a wireless headset) at the 100 vut u r limited to the phone output to control with the nob

For the Orchestra lite IEM’s what AMP do you prefer for those?

Question: Which headphone would be better overall for casual gaming, music and movies? In terms of value, comfort and sound between the Audeze Maxwell and the Hifiman Edition XS? The maxwell are 330$ and the Hifiman Edition XS are 360$ where i live.

Is it meanwhile possible to change the audio output to like a wireless headset at the stream 200? Didnt get why it is possible at rhe 100 bit not at the 200 because on the 200 u r limited to the phone output for the audio

I have to ask the question does this device offer anything MORE than the combo sstream deck plus with XLR and Steelseries gg? or would you consider that combination about the same as what hercules + podmic offers
@GadgetryTechАй бұрын
It’s comparable but in different ways. Elgato has more plugin support software and virtual controls, but the Stream 200 XLR has additional connectivity such as line in, optical in, and line out for more physical mixing and integration control. Elgato software has a bit more PC resource overhead with the additional features, whereas Hercules in very light on resources.
@ClyozeraАй бұрын
@@GadgetryTech Thanks for this i atm am also using a rode streamer X so i do have those low pc resource features but an all in one might be the way to go

You mention the dac on board is not as good as other dacs you may have, could you use this with your headphones connected to another dac that you like better?
@GadgetryTechАй бұрын
If you still want real time mic monitoring then you would need to connect the output on the back to an analog input of a headphone amp. Otherwise if you use another DAC, it would work fine for various use cases but any of the real time mixing output of the Stream 200 XLR would not work anymore unfortunately.

can the mic EQ profile be saved and stored within the device? I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I want to have good sound using my company laptop for team meeting. and I can't install any software in the work laptop.
@GadgetryTechАй бұрын
Yes you can save a custom profile then use that setting. You can also modify existing profiles if you just want to tweak one.

Yo help me out bro I just got the a50 gen 5 and my EQ and I don’t know to use Dolby or not but I play bo6 and that’s all I play need help with the settings
@GadgetryTechАй бұрын
I would turn Dolby off, and use enhanced headphone universal mode on BO6. Then run my BO6 eq I uploaded to Logi G Hub app if you browse for community presets. Just search gadgetrytech bo6. That setup is money

Borring part is that the 100 dosen`t have the output that 200 have. like headphones, and line in and out
