Review and Unboxing of the Michael Jackson Playmates Billie Jean Doll.

This is my first Playmates unboxing, and nothing makes me feel young at heart like a MJ action figure or doll. I also did a Hot Toys and Playmates brief comparison, so check this post out.

I just received mine today (from BBTS) delivered by U. P. S. I looked at it and I was having second thoughts on removing my MJ doll (I mean, action figure) out the box because it looked awesome compared to the one advertised (shown on your backpack that you have displayed on viewer's right). But after seeing what you had to go through just getting it out of the packaging, I may just leave mine inside for now.

This video is hilarious!!!! I have the two playmates dolls as well, and the Hottoys bad version. I am getting the new beat it and moonwalk. i wish the Moonwalk version had the fedora. Duh. I can't wait for the Hottoys beat it. But I called sideshow collectibles today and they said they don't know anyrthing about a new MJ doll. I wish Smooth Criminal would be released by Hot Toys. I love your reviews and advice. Keep them coming, girl!!!!

@GadgetTrish Okay. All together, w/o using scissors, it took me 14 seconds, to include removing the stand and the clip from the clear shell. I remember it said on your screen that it took you 13 seconds and I thought, "Nah, it'll take me less than that". Yeah right!

I would have kept the box a new as could be & just worked on the ties on the bk. Would have used the background scene in some type of display. Doll face is comical to me, but it would do, for those who could not afford the others. I like the #'rd doll idea, makes it a little bit special! I'll be waiting for the next Hot Toys doll, they have the best faces! In the mean time, I'am taking my bad doll and setting up a second doll, with the Dity Diana look. Same you did w/Thriller. No chg'g clthes

Great video! I have the MJ Thriller & Billie Jean dolls & wanna get the Beat it doll. I kept the dolls I have in the box. I also have 1 of the dolls from the 80's but took it out of the box.

@GadgetTrish Correction: It took me 14 MINUTES (not seconds) for me to finally get mine out of the package, and that's with removing the tape first and using scissors. I also received the Thriller version from Playmates line, and I've pre-ordered the next 2 coming out on the same line. Personally, I think the people @ Hot Toys should consider making their version of Michael Jackson's 1st Moonwalk.

@123frenchfries3 through a bad seller on eBay (when I say "they", I'm referring to this eBay seller). But overall, it definitely is worth it (and I'm referring to the Hot Toys Beat It figure), esp. for those who are big time Michael Jackson fans such as myself. And yes, I'll be getting the 1st Moonwalker version too. It looks pretty cool. Personally, I'd like for Hot Toys to remake another version of MJ Billie Jean from either the music video or the Motown 25 version.

I wish a Toy company would make different 'era' MJ toys! the 'Bad' hottoys and 90's 'BlackorWhite' are the only ones that are not of the Thriller 'era' ...they have already done Thiller and Beat it with the 80's dolls so Im not realy looking forward to the Playmates versions... Im waiting on a Smooth Criminal or Concert Version Billie Jean Toy

With those kind of dolls, it's better if you go behind the cardboard and start pulling off all the scotch tape first, before you start untwisting the twist ties and the plastic restraints. Next time start from the back of the cardboard and pull off the scotch tape first.

@123frenchfries3 Well, at first I had a little complication w/ the seller through eBay. I had pre-purchased mine the day after Thanksgiving and the price was VERY inexpensive plus the S/H; time of delivery came and went and nothing. Got my refund back from eBay (I never heard from the eBay seller ever again, plus they raised the S/H price). So I repurchased it through another seller at a (somewhat hefty) price, but I waited patiently and the seller came through. That was my first time of going
