@@sparkybadge8811 most people who say gael are overrated is because his moveset is easy to dodge or that he's a last minute character you have no connection too. And to that they are wrong, his fight isn't supposed to be majorly difficult like Malenia and he has far more connection to you than what may seem. I could be wrong, but those are the common complains I've heard of him. Either way his moveset is the most fun to dodge out of all the bosses I played, smooth, not too fast, not to slow and he has some coop mix ups with his crossbow attack. It was designed to be fun rather than annoying by giving him 50 delayed attacks, status effects and little breathing room to use anything but a light attack and a charged heavy every now N then.

Gael is the perfect boss. Quick but identifiable attacks. High damage but not too high where it’s annoying. Keep your self close and remember to dodge into the attacks while still keeping the pressure when you can and it’s the perfect dance. Gael is my favorite boss both aesthetically and gameplay. So much fun

There should be a room on the firelink shrine with all the bosses statues where you can interact and fight them again with 2 aditional difficulties, the first time it's the normal boss, the second the damage and health is higher and the third time the boss haves 2x the health and you can't take a hit from it. It would either be for fun or on the end after doing all difficulties of a boss you get a special ability from them or just an achievement.

1.) underleveled 2.) estus not upgraded to max 3.) the lack of health does not make up for the damage being dealt. I have very little to no problem to what he does to himself but no complains should be made on your own decisions.

@@ShroudedStep level 80-100 is good to play the dlc's if you want a challenge he WAS level 83. +6 estus is good enough even 5 would be enough, and the damage when he deleted the mod was good for Gael and he had 20 vigor bc in his playtrhough he wore Havels armor so he didn't needed so much HP

Gael, A slave Knight who were usually as cannon fodder, mind you. Managed to keep himself together long enough for the gods to disappear and even later on managed to do the same thing but this time he has a MASSIVE GAPING WOUND on his stomach, a broken sword and probably didn't get any chance to rest. HE SOMEHOW SURVIVED THE ENTIRE FUCKING ORDEAL WHILE ASSISTING OUR SORRY ASSES THEN HANDING BACK OUR SORRY ASSES AFTER HE DIAGNOSED US WITH SKILL ISSUE. Yep, this dude is my favourite.

Beat him at lv1. Yes he is not hard. He has very very well spaced dodge windows. His health pool is huge but you can basically best him without taking any damage. Just chill, relax and be patient.

Gael was a pretty hard, and intimidating boss when I first fought him. But the next time I fought him on NG+, I killed him in 3 attempts with smough's hammer. He's a really cool boss. He also kinda reminds me of orphan of kos, with all the lightning, And red projectiles he has in phase 2 Also, I see you're rocking the havel drip, my favorite. 👍

I have only ever fought Gael with a Dragonslayers greataxe and pyromancy so I'm not sure how it is for others but I've managed to do it first try both times could be good rng or a Gael being silly but I think it says something that I didn't really need time to learn his moveset. Next time you fight him: Equip vordts greathammer, upgrade it to +5, and bring some firebombs with you along with a toxic or poison mist (you can use instead of the spells a storytellers staff) and rings that help you to cast spells more often. Make sure you also have the moiron blade with you. Equip the morion blade in one hand, and vordts greathammer in the other hand. Start of the fight with casting poison mist/toxic mist until he is poisoned. When the poison effect starts to kick in, switch to your greathammer and moiron blade and one hand the hammer. Hit him until the frost effect kicks in, and throw ONE firebomb at him. Hit him again with your hammer until the frost effect kicks in. Rinse and repeat until he is dead. Reason for the firebombs: If you hit him with a frost effect, the frost effect can kick in after a internal cooldown. Throwing firebombs at him will RESET the frost effect IMMEDIATELY. In other words: You can chain the frost effect.
