i did this exact thing, except i activated the gagagashield on the magician before his first Nova kaiser. this way i could use the magician to kill nova while samurai killed the split monsters. since one of the pieces cannot be destroyed by battle one time, he ends up destroyed, and the ai doesnt have enough monsters for a second nova kaiser.

yea idk its different now i still won following the early moves but after you use gaga samurai its like the AI switches up
