I'm studying creative writing to one day write a story set in the Destiny universe. I'm actually writing it, and at times, I lose motivation and feel like I'll never get anywhere. I need to tell you that YOU inspire me to keep going. Since I watched the first chapter, I fell in love with your way of writing, of narrating, of influencing my emotions. Simply and sincerely, thank you, Player One Stories. I will keep going for you and this entire community. You gave me the push I needed.

I’m sorry if a lot’s happened (it has, no duh) but you’ve done amazing in being able to wake up and see the sun rise every morning, to feel its glow and warmth. Thank you for all you’ve done. I pray we can have more episodes in not as long of a span, but whether or not that occurs is not up to me, but you. You do what you must. Again, thank you so incredibly much for this. I love it all!

Now this is how you tell a Destiny story through adaptation and creativity. No lackluster to be found other than working with what you have and what you can change. Honestly, this became more comprehensive than the Destiny I've known. Instead of being so isolated and confused, you are given the feeling of understanding the way things are. I mean, no one is perfect, but it doesn't mean to further worsen the disadvantage. Explore the world further with means and purpose. I felt the heart beat more in this video than just a game. This is a story I'm willing to wait years for. Keep going, Guardian.

This... is amazing. You are amazing. Eyes up guardian, sometimes things may seem bleak, sometimes things may not have a clear finish line, sometimes things get worse before they get better... but they will get better. Having you be with us still is the only thing I could ever hope for. You are making a powerful cinematic that will make waves in the industry of story telling. Your light burns brighter than us all. Thank you.

I feel equally happy, sad and nostalgic when I watch this. The nostalgia comes form the hundreds of machinima videos I used to watch when Halo 3 was still fresh and new, and the sadness comes from the unfortunate decline of Bungie losing what made the story telling of their games special. But I am also happy that people like you still continue a long tradition made from creators two decades ago, I can't wait to see more episodes and I may redownload Destiny as well just to see what changed. Thank you for the art you create.

After patiently waiting for the part 2. I was so excited to get off of work to see that it was finally here. By far some of my favorite kind of story telling I've seen in any Immersiplay video. The characters and emotion were very raw and real. Had me screaming WTF IS THAT while Solas was in the wall. Glad you were able to get through it to finish this masterpiece.

I love the way you showed how truly intricate guardian and human relationships would be! I am so excited for this story to continue and will patiently be waiting for whenever it is able to continue! Thank you for the amazing work!

Well now, this project has gotten ever more fascinating. Managing to recontextualize the concepts and assets of an existing universe like this is certainly an impressive feat. From the first episode, which I rewatched prior to viewing this as a refresher, I expected to see... something of a fanfiction story, told well with an added layer of personal storytelling through actions and dialogue, as well as added immersion through editing and effects. But this is much more. And it's very interesting to see the ways your universe runs parallel to and diverges from the foundations its built on. The algorithm isn't being kind to this, but it is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. A hidden gem, no doubt. You're awesome for pulling this off. Keep sharing more of yourself and there will be people to thank you for it. I certainly am one. Thank you, Gage Allen, Player One Studios and everyone who contributed to making this a reality.

This is so good. The writing is really hitting home for me. Mad props to your writing team! (was this written by one person?) "there is no single chosen but that all are chosen in the eye of the light whether they wield it or not. You see in the early years there were those who believed they were above Humanity. Guardians that let the power of the light rise above their empathy for those around them. This caused great sorrow in the rest of us" HOLY SHIT! what a powerful bit of dialogue. I felt genuine fear during the nightmare sequences, the Video editing and sound design were unreal, and I genuinely felt connected to the story and characters. I want to start off by saying this episode was so good! I absolutely loved it! With that, I do have some critiques. The cinematography and the creativity behind using different parts of Destiny 1 and 2 for filming was AMAZING! Absolutely fantastic, especially using the NPCs. Also, I really liked how you folks are changing the lore and world to make it your own unique story. Despite that, I do think that some of the changes limit the direction you can take the story. Changing the origin of the awoken and the name makes it harder to use the full breadth of the world in-game. Limiting the use and power of the light is an interesting choice and I'm really looking forward to what you guys do with that. Another thing I think will be really hard to overcome is how the game continues to change over time. Like how now, the traveler isn't in the last city anymore, how the helm is landed next to the tower, and other things like that. Your editing and VFX are amazing, so I'm sure you'll be able to tackle any problems that creates, but I imagine it would be a lot easier if you write some of those changes into your story. And while I did enjoy this episode, at times it did feel a bit slow and drawn out. It's very well written, but the story and lore heaviness of the episode dragged down the pacing a bit. Altogether it was still a wonderful video to watch! I'm eagerly looking forward to the next episodes and how the story turns out. I think it has tons of potential to grow and be a big hit. I think if you're able to dial up the action and get a bit more excitement into it, you can get a lot more traction in the community. Sending my hopes and love! Keep up the amazing work. Glad you're still with us and wishing you the best. Eyes up Guardian!

I misjudged you for believing that you were delaying things because of losing interest in the project... No, you put everything you could for just a continuation and that was great! Your commitment to build your own stories is the reason why future videogame narratives should be ours to do first!

The bit about Ghost wanting to discuss his favorite types of sand made me happy. That was the moment he became my favorite version of Ghost. It's exactly the type of granular (ha) character building I love. Made me want to talk to him for hours. The voice acting is as incredible as the writing. The slow pace at the start had me on edge but a bit frustrated, until it became apparent that the mission was a crazy inventive framing device for the episode's story. I never played much Destiny 2. Never finished most of the raids in the first game, either. But it's one of my favorite game universes, and the roleplay/gameplay style you're building here is *exactly* what I always did during my stint. Can't wait to see Solas grow into a fast-paced, daring gunslinger. BTW, Dreshland wears the almost the same armor and helmet that I did during my almost-extensive stint in Destiny 1. Despite the sequel differences and the different Mark, I've already attached to him like he's a former squadmate in a knightly order. God, I love these characters already. This is the future of machinima, long awaiting inheritors. Two thumbs up in blessing. And if you ever need help with suicide prevention... I did a suicide prevention poster for Gears of War's "Never Fight Alone" campaign last year. I'll send you a free signed original if you want, and donate its worth to a prevention hotline. If you want. You're not alone, brother. I know how it is. We're all glad you've made it. Onto the next fight!

Hey, Gage. While I don't know you and what you've been through, I can say with certainty that coming back to address the community YOU made is something you should be proud of. I think people are entitled to feel disappointed with the wait, but I think you are more entitled to address your needs first. The reality seems to be that there wasn't room for involving the community and addressing your personal challenges at the same time. I hope you take Solace in the fact that you would do better if you could. That we would all do better if we can and we will. We'll find a recipe for success.
